CLEANING AND CARE
Note
■ Do not use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire brushes,
sharp objects or scouring pads to clean the AirHood.
■ Never immerse the AirHood main body, charger/power cord in water.
The AirHood is designed to make cleaning quick and easy. To keep your AirHood in tip top
condition, we recommend that you clean the main unit and the oil filter after each use and
change the charcoal filter after every 100 hours of use.
WARNING
Make sure the power switch is in the off position O and that the
AirHood is disconnected from the power supply.
1. The air duct is fixed into place with magnets. Simply pull the tab on the top of the air
duct to release and remove it. Similarly, pull the tab on the air diffuser on the back of the
AirHood and remove it.
2. The oil filter is attached to the back of the air duct. It comprises 2 parts, the stainless steel
mesh and the frame that holds the mesh in place. Turn the oil filter frame anticlockwise
to remove it from the air duct. Then, pop out the wire mesh.
TIP: When reassembling the oil filter, make sure you put the mesh into the oil filter frame,
align the frame with the groves on the air duct and then twist the oil filter frame clockwise
until the two parts slot firmly together.
If the charcoal filter becomes a bit wet (this may happen when it is used for filtering
water vapour), remove the charcoal filter and let it dry naturally away from the AirHood.
We recommend that you also check the oil filter for moisture and if necessary dry
it with a towel. Only reassemble when both filters are completely dry.
