remove hair which may be caught between
the blades. (See Fig. 5) Lubricate the
space between the stationary and mov-
ing blades with 2 or 3 drops of oil after
every few uses. To reassemble,
First,
set the dial (D) to "3", and reverse the
above procedure,
pushing the blade
block until it clicks firmly into position.

Special attention when
charging
e If the clipper is not used for an
extended
period, charge every six
months to preserve battery life.
e Avoid charging the battery at temper-
atures below 0°C or above 40°C.
e Avoid charging the battery in direct sun-
light or near a radiating heat source.
Caution:
e Clean the housing using only a cloth
slightly dampened with water or a
mild soap solution.
è Never use a caustic solution.
e Never submerge the hair clipper in water.
e Keep out of the reach of children.
e Do not use to trim the hair of a pet.
e The hair clipper may become warm
during operation and/or charging.
This is normal.
e Avoid grabbing the hair clipper by the
power
cord,
as
it may
become
detached, causing damage or injury.
e Never tamper with moving parts.
e |f the hair clipper is not working prop-
erly, have it inspected at an autho-
rized service center.
e Use the ER153 hair ctipper with the
RE5-66 adapter only.
Note:
The Supply cord of the charging adaptor
RE5-66 cannot be replaced; if the cord is
damaged, the appliance should be discarded.

A nickel cadmium battery that is recyclable
powers the product you have purchased.
At the end of its useful life, under vari-
ous state and local laws, it is illegal to
dispose of this battery into your munici-
pal waste stream.

How to remove the built-in
rechargeable batteries
before disposal
of the clipper
The batteries in this clipper are not
intendetd to be replaced.
The procedure described in fig. 7, Bis
intended only for the purpose of proper:
disposal. Discard the clipper after the
batteries have been removed.
WARNING: Do not attempt to replace the
batteries for the purpose of reusing the clipper.
This could result in the risk of fire.
. Remove the attachment and blade block.
. Remove
the three screws and open
the housing.
. Remove the motor and circuit board.
. Insert a screwdriver as shown in the
illustration and remove the battery.
