While operating the chainsaw you should wear protective
gloves, safety shoes, safety shin guards, glasses and ear
protectors.
If the work involves any risk of head injury, you should also
wear a protective helmet.
Always remove the batteries before checking or adjusting
the chain tension, when installing a new chain or correcting
any errors, and whenever moving the machine from one
place to another. Never start the power tool without holding
it firmly and making sure that both the guide bar and the
chain do not touch any object.
The instruction manual must always be provided along with
the mini chainsaw.
If the guide bar nose accidentally comes into contact a hard
object, such as a tree trunk when cutting branches, or an
adjacent object, or a trunk that is too close to the one being
cut, the machine can be sent back towards you.
Every time you start cutting, check that the power tool is in
perfect condition. It is particularly important to ensure that
the guide bar is properly fitted, and the chain is properly
tensioned.
Before using the machine for the first time you should
practice cutting trunks using a trestle or similar. While
operating with the mini chainsaw you should always pay
attention to what you are working on.
Place the support base (4) of the mini chainsaw in contact
with the workpiece surface before switching it on. Failure to
do so may cause the guide bar (5) to swing, resulting in
injury to the user. Cut the workpiece by moving the mini
chainsaw downwards, applying only gentle pressure. The
speed of the chain should not be too slow.
In case you can't cut the wood with one stroke:
▪ Apply slight pressure to the handle (10) and continue
cutting;
▪ Pull the machine slightly backwards.
Pull the chainsaw out of the wood while the chain is still
spinning.
When pruning trees, always cut from the top allowing
the branch to fall. It may, however, be necessary to
make the first cut at the bottom of the branch. When
cutting a branch, the machine should be pressed against
the trunk as far as possible.
Never cut branches using only the guide bar nose.
You should be particularly careful when cutting branches
that are under tension, as they can hit you.
