ATTENTION: Make sure that the tension
control (79) functions correctly by turning
it clockwise and anticlockwise.
Fit the screws (89), along with the
washers (91) and nuts (90), Fig.6, and
tighten securely.
Lower the bottom trim section (76) for the
main post (78) down over the boss
section of the main body (49), Fig.6.
When the machine has been assembled,
make sure that the tension control (79)
works correctly.
5. FITTING THE FOCUS BARS.-
Insert the focus bar spindle (81) through
the spacer bushes on the main post (78),
Fig.7, leaving it centred.
Fit the spacer washers (80) as shown in
Fig.7. Insert the left focus bar (14L)
(marked with the letter "L") onto the focus
bar spindle (81), Fig.7, then fit the right
focus bar (14R) (marked with the letter
"R") on the other end of the spindle. Fit
the bolts (11) and the flat washers (12)
and with the help of the box spanners
tighten securely.
6. FITTING THE FEET.-
Take the right pedal (19R), Fig.8,
(marked with the setter "R") and slide it
onto the crank shaft (38) on the right-
hand side of the machine.
Now take washer (28) and bolt (11) and
tighten securely, fit the trim cap (45).
Take the left pedal (19L), Fig.8, (marked
with the setter "L") and slide it onto the
shaft (38) on the left-hand side of the
machine.
Now take washer (28) and bolt (11) and
tighten securely, fit the trim cap (45).
7. FITTING THE FOOT BARS.-
Take the right foot bar (19R) and position
it on the "U" at the bottom of the right
focus bar (14R), Fig.9.
Insert screw (18), as shown in Fig.9A,
then fit the flat washer (20) and the self
locking nut (21), and tighten securely.
Take the left foot bar (19L) and go
through the same assembly procedure
as with the right.
8. FITTING THE FOCUS BAR SIDE
COVERS TO THE FOOT BARS.-
Next fit the footrest covers (16) & (22L-
22R) with the bottom of the joints on the
right side, Fig.10. Use screws (35-23) to
screw them together.
Then do the same with the other covers
(16) & (22L-22R) on the left-hand side.
9. FITTING THE UPPER FOCUS
BARS.-
Take the left focus bar (8L), Fig.11,
marked with the letter "L", and insert it
onto the lower section (14R). Now fit the
Allen screws (6) and curved washers (5-
6) and tighten securely.
Take the right focus bar (8R), Fig.11,
marked with the letter "R", and insert it
onto the lower section (14R), fit the Allen
screws (6) and curved washers (5-6) and
tighten securely.
Take the top left bar (8L) (marked with
the letter "L").
Insert the top bar onto the bottom left
focus bar (11L), lining up the letters (L),
Fig.11, fit the screws (72), the cap nuts
(7) and tighten securely. Now go through
the same procedure for the top right
focus bar (8R).
