2) Switch on the transmitter, check its settings
(
instruction manual of the transmitter),
then set it to the same transmission fre-
quency via the REMOSET function according
to chapter 6.2.
When the transmitter and the receiver
have been set to the same frequency, the
muting function is deactivated; the indication
MUTE (f) disappears. One of the indications
or
(c) is displayed to show which of the
antennas (1) receives the more powerful
radio signal. The indication RF (a) shows the
reception quality: the more segments dis-
played, the better the reception.
If the reception is poor, please check
– if the batteries of the transmitter are ex -
hausted. The display shows a battery sym-
bol (d) indicating the status of the batteries
in the transmitter in four 4 levels. If the bat-
teries are exhausted (indication
display backlight will change from green to
orange.
– if the transmission power of the transmitter
is too low.
To increase the transmission range when
the transmitter and the receiver are placed
at a greater distance, it is possible to
increase the transmission power from
10 mW to 50 mW
the transmitter.
– if the reception is disturbed by objects in
the transmission path.
Make sure to keep the transmitter and the
receiver at a minimum distance of 50 cm
from metal objects and any other sources
of interference, e. g. electric motors or fluo-
rescent lamps.
– if the reception is improved when you
move the antennas.
– if the squelch threshold adjusted with the
corresponding SQUELCH control is too
high
step 5.
3) Speak / sing into the microphone of the trans-
mitter or, in case of an instrument micro-
phone, feed an audio signal to the micro-
phone. The indication AF (b) shows the
volume level of the audio signal received.
The more segments of the indication AF dis-
played, the higher the level.
Set the transmitter to the optimum
volume via the indication AF
manual of the transmitter.
4) If the volume level is too high for the subse-
quent unit, it will be possible to attenuate it by
10 dB or 20 dB. For each audio output, an
attenuation switch is provided: the corre-
sponding switches ATTENUATION RX 1 and
RX 2 (13) for the two XLR outputs (11); the
switch ATTENUATION (15) for the 6.3 mm
output jack (14).
5) Use the control SQUELCH (12) to adjust the
threshold for interference suppression of the
corresponding receiver unit. The further the
control turned clockwise from the left stop
"max" (= maximum sensitivity), the higher the
threshold.
Interference suppression will mute the
receiver unit when high-frequency interfe-
rence signals with a level below the threshold
adjusted are received during music intervals.
With a higher threshold, however, the trans-
mission range will decrease as the receiver
unit will also be muted when the intensity of
the radio signal of the transmitter falls below
the threshold adjusted. Therefore, adjust a
higher threshold with the control SQUELCH
when the reception is good; select a lower
8
value when the transmitter and the receiver
are placed at the greater distance.
6) Each receiver unit is provided with a lock
function to prevent accidental change of set-
tings or switching off
To switch off the unit, keep the button POWER
(4) pressed for a few seconds. If the receiver is
not in use for a longer period of time, disconnect
the power supply unit from the mains socket;
even when the receiver is switched off, it will
have a low power consumption.
6.1 Adjusting the receiver unit
When the receiver unit is not locked, press the
button SET (8) to activate the setting modes one
after another:

nel → scan function → identification number

To make settings in a setting mode, see the cor-
responding chapter 6.1.1 to 6.1.4.
To exit a setting mode without changing a set-
ting, press the button SET repeatedly until the

6.1.1 Transmission frequency
instruction manual of
(group / channel)
To set the transmission frequency, select the
channel group and the channel. Six channel
groups with preset channels in different num-
bers are available
To prevent interference, carefully match the transmis-
sion frequencies of all transmission paths to one
another. In case of parallel operation of several chan-
nels, it is recommended to use channels from the
same group.
1) Keep the button SET (8) pressed until the let-
ter "G" starts flashing on the display; the
group setting mode is activated.
2) Select the group (

3) Press the button SET to confirm. The letters
"CH" start flashing on the display; the chan-
nel setting mode is activated.

ing transmission frequency is presently

Note: It will not be possible to set both receiver
units to the same channel of a group. The channel
used for one receiver unit will be locked for the
other one.

6.1.2 Scan function
The scan function makes it easier to select a
free transmission frequency: When the function
has been activated, the frequencies already
being used for transmission will be skipped when
you set the transmission frequency (
6.1.1).
1) Keep the button SET (8) pressed until the let-
ter "G" starts flashing on the display; the
group setting mode is activated.
2) Press the button SET repeatedly until the dis-
play shows the current setting for the scan

6.1.3 Identification number
To set the transmitter via the REMOSET function
to the transmission frequency of the receiver unit
(
chapter 6.2), both must have the same iden-
tification number.
1) Keep the button SET (8) pressed until the let-
ter "G" starts flashing on the display; the
group setting mode is activated.

transmitter.
6.1.4 Lock function
When the lock function has been activated, the
REMOSET function will not be available for the
receiver unit (
chapter 6.2). From the setting
modes, you will only be able to activate the
mode for the lock function in order to deactivate
the lock.
Furthermore, it will not be possible to switch
off the complete IN-264R / 2 when at least one of
the two receiver units has been locked.
Activating the lock
1) Keep the button SET (8) pressed until the let-
ter "G" starts flashing on the display; the
group setting mode is activated.
2) Press the button SET repeatedly until the dis-
