Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the
mains plug of the power supply unit from the socket,
always seize the plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.
G
No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the units are used for other pur-
poses than originally intended, if they are not cor-
rectly connected, operated, or not repaired in an

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord -
ance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con -
nected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con -
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
If the units are to be put out of operation de -
finitively, take them to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
3 Applications and Accessories
Together with a matching transmitter from JTS, the
multifrequency receiver US-1000D / 2 makes up a wire-
less audio transmission system. The wireless trans-
mission of music or speech to the audio system en -
sures the musicianʼs freedom of movement during the
performance.
The receivers operate with "true diversity" techni-
que: The transmission signal is received by two anten-
nas and then separately processed in two receiving
parts. By means of the electronic system, the more
powerful signal of the two receiving parts is respec-
tively sent to the outputs.
For adjusting the received frequency, two modes
are available to ensure maximum flexibility:
1. In the group mode, the receiver operates with four
reception groups (A – D) to which 16 transmission
channels are assigned respectively, i. e. altogether
64 factory-set transmission channels are available.
These channels in the UHF range of 740 – 764 MHz
can be selected as desired.
2. In the frequency mode, the received frequency with-
in the UHF range of 740 – 764 MHz can be se lected
as desired (frequency spacing 25 kHz).
The following transmitters from the product range of
JTS can be used together with the receiver US-1000D / 2:
MH-8990 / 2 order No. 25.2860
Dynamic hand-held microphone with integrated multi -
frequency transmitter
PT-990B / 2 order No. 25.2870
Multifrequency pocket transmitter with Lavalier micro-
phone
For installing the receiver into a rack (482 mm/19"),
the bracket DR-900SET (order No. 24.4770) which is
able to accept two receivers is available from JTS. The
bracket requires a height of 1 RS (1 rack space =
44.5 mm) in the rack.
To increase the range and the interference immunity,
two antenna amplifiers UB-900 / 2 (order No. 15.0750)
available as accessories can be used instead of the
antennas supplied. The amplifiers are supplied with
power via the antenna jacks of the receiver.
When using several receivers in the audio system, the
antenna splitter UA-900 (order No. 15.0610) can be
used. It will also supply the power for a maximum of
four receivers.
4 Connection
1) Insert the two antennas (1) supplied into the BNC
antenna jacks ANT. 1 and ANT. 2 (12) and place
them in a vertical position.
2) For connection to the subsequent unit (e. g. mixer),
the receiver has two audio outputs:
AF OUTPUT BAL. (11)
balanced XLR output for connection to a bal -
anced microphone input
AF OUTPUT UNBAL. (10)
unbalanced 6.3 mm output jack for connection
to a line input (a matching connection cable is
supplied)
If the subsequent unit has a balanced microphone
input, the XLR output should be used for an opti-
mum signal transmission. Make the corresponding
connection to the subsequent unit.
3) Connect the power supply unit supplied to the jack
(9) for the power supply and connect the mains
plug of the power supply unit to a mains socket
(230 V~ / 50 Hz).
4) To prevent accidental disconnection of the plug of
the power supply unit from the jack (9), lead the
cable around the hook (8) for strain relief.
