F. Investigate potential ductwork routes
and choose the shortest possible route
from the unit to an outside wall or to the
roof via an inside wali and attic. For gui-
dance, typical ducting installations are
shown in figures 3 through 6. Installation
in island locations will require under floor
ducting. Peninsula locations usually
require ducting laterally through cabinets
or under cabinet toe spaces. Consider
potentiai interferences to ductwork from
building framing (floor joists, wali studs,
etc.) and utilities (electrical wiring, water,
gas, or sewer lines, etc).
G. Purchase the necessary ductwork as
needed to duct to the outside or purcha-
se separately the downdraft Recirculati-
on Module if ducting to the outside is not
a viable option.
