DESCRIPTION
Leviton's VERSI-DUCT Slotted Duct System is designed to mount on standard 19" equipment
racks. Two vertical 40" ducts, or one 80" duct (comprised of two 40" ducts) install easily and
help organize and manage cable. The Horizontal and Vertical Slotted Ducts come with
cable-concealing covers and an assortment of accessories.
VERTICAL SLOTTED DUCT
Mounting the Vertical Slotted Duct (4940L-VFR, 4940L-VFO, 4980L-VFR, 4980L-VFO)
1. Align the Vertical Slotted Duct's mounting brackets with the equipment rack (Figure 1).
2. To secure the Vertical Slotted Duct in place, push the supplied #12 screws through the
mounting bracket and screw into the equipment rack.
3. When assembling the 80" duct, carefully align the connecting tabs (Figure 2).
4. To install the Vertical Slotted Duct's cover(s), fit the cover over one side of duct fingers and
rotate the cover to the other side until it snaps into place.
NOTE: The duct fingers can be bent outward and snapped off to more easily run cables
from the vertical to the horizontal duct.
ACCESSORIES
Mounting Bracket (49265-BKT)
The Mounting Bracket is designed to assist in attaching the vertical duct to an adjacent equipment
rack. The Mounting Bracket Kit comes with #8 screws.
Install: For each mounting bracket, use two screws to secure the mounting bracket to the
bracket already riveted in the slotted duct (Figure 3).
Slack Loop Storage Organizer (49265-SL1, 49265-SL2)
The Slack Loop Storage Organizer manages and stores excess cable for future use. The
Slack Loop Storage Organizer is moveable and can be installed to accommodate different size
slack loops.
Install: Slide the Slack Loop Storage Organizer over the fingers of the Vertical Slotted Duct
(Figure 4).
NOTE: Bend radius and Slack Loop Storage Organizer are compliant with
ANSI/TIA/EIA standards.
Cable Retainer (49265-WR1 - Used with Vertical and Horizontal Ducts)
The Cable Retainer is designed to hold cable within the slotted duct. The Cable Retainer has
four notches, so it can be snapped off to accommodate different size slotted ducts.
Install: Slide the Cable Retainer over the duct finger until it snaps into place (Figure 5).
Duct Cover Hinge (49265-HNG - Used with Vertical and Horizontal Ducts)
The Duct Cover Hinge is designed to easily open and close duct cover for increased protection
and easy access.
Install: Attach duct cover first. Snap hinge between slotted duct fingers and attach to one side
of duct cover (Figure 6).
NOTE: Use a minimum of two hinges per cover.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
HORIZONTAL SLOTTED DUCT
Mounting the Horizontal Slotted Duct (491RU-HFO, 492RU-HFO, 491RU-HFR, 492RU-HFR)
1. Using standard rack and #12 mounting screws, mount the duct to the front of the rack.
2. To install the Horizontal Slotted Duct cover, align the left and right side of the cover with the
slotted duct. Fit the cover over the top of duct fingers. Pushdown and rotate the cover to the
other side until it snaps into place.
Installing Bend Radius Compliant Cable Router (Included with Horizontal VERSI-DUCT)
The Bend Radius Compliant Cable Router is used to transition patch cords entering and exiting
the Horizontal Slotted Duct.
Install: Snap the Bend Radius Compliant Cable Router onto the fingers of the Horizontal Slotted
Duct (Figure 7).
NOTE: The Bend Radius Compliant Cable Router is compliant with ANSI/TIA bend radius standards.
ACCESSORIES

Optional gray snap-on covers provide a premium appearance.
Install: Fit the cover over top side of duct fingers. Push down and rotate the cover to the other
side until it snaps into place.
