5.1
Installation in a System Ceiling
To install in a system ceiling, proceed as follows:
1. Check if the construction is sturdy enough to carry the weight of the panel light [A], and if the panel fits
the mounting location.
2. Remove a ceiling panel where you want to install the panel light.
3. Mount the power supply to a suitable spot in the ceiling. Power the LED panel with a 24 VDC power supply
(not incl.). Check the product page on velleman.eu for a suitable model.
4. Provide suitable cabling from the mains and connect it to the power adapter.
Warning: Provide a secure connection. The mains circuit must be earthed and protected with a suitable
fuse.
5. You can control the LED panel through an RGB controller. Insert a suitable model between the power supply
and the panel. Check the product page on velleman.eu for a suitable model. The controller is not included.
6. Properly interconnect the power supply, the controller and the panel light.
7. Remove the protective film from the back of the panel light.
8. Place the panel light in the system ceiling.
The panel light is now ready for use. It lights up when switched on.
5.2
Suspended Installation
For suspended installation, use the LEDA60C suspension cable set (sold separately) to hang the panel light from
the ceiling.
1. Check if the construction is sturdy enough to carry the weight of the panel light [A], and if the panel fits
the mounting location.
Make sure that all electrical cables are long enough for the desired suspension height.
2. Mount the power supply to a suitable spot. Power the LED panel with a 24 VDC power supply (not incl.).
Check the product page on velleman.eu for a suitable model.
3. Provide suitable cabling from the mains and connect it to the power adapter.
Warning: Provide a secure connection. The mains circuit must be earthed and protected with a suitable
fuse.
4. You can control the LED panel through an RGB controller. Insert a suitable model between the power supply
and the panel. Check the product page on velleman.eu for a suitable model. The controller is not included.
5. On all suspension wires [B], unscrew the wire holders [F] from the ceiling mounts [E].
6. Drill four holes [G] in the ceiling for the ceiling mounts. Insert appropriate plugs [H] (not incl.) and fix the
ceiling mounts to the ceiling using appropriate screws [I] (not incl.).
7. On all suspension wires, push the clamp [J] on the wire holder to release the wire and pull it out a few
centimetres [K].
8. Screw the wire holders back into the ceiling mounts, making sure that the suspension wire protrudes
through the slit [L]. Note: Do not yet screw the holders in completely, so that you can still adjust the wire
length later.
9. Remove the screws from the panel holder holes on the panel light and use them to attach the panel holders
to the panel light [M].
10. Push the clamp on the wire holders and adjust the cable lengths until the panel light is level.
11. Screw the wire holders completely into the ceiling mounts.
12. Cut of the excess wire ends if necessary. Caution: Keep at least 10 mm of wire showing, so that you can
still easily adjust the wire length later if necessary.
