Installing / replacing soldering tip
Fig. C
1. To install the soldering tip, hold the soldering
iron and slide the soldering tip (1) over the
heating element (10), then slide the soldering
tip holder (2) over the soldering tip until the
threaded part. Then screw clockwise into the
soldering tip holder (2) tightly.
2. To replace the soldering tip (1), unscrew the
soldering tip holder (2) counter clockwise until
is comes off. Take out the soldering tip (1) and
replace with the new soldering tip. Then repeat
the step as described in step 1.
4. OPERATION
During initial use, the soldering iron may
generate a light smoke due to the
elements heating.
The battery must be charged before first
use.
Caution, danger of burns! Do not touch
the hot soldering tip when in operation.
When starting work:
1. Take out the soldering iron from the soldering
iron base (11).
2. Hold the soldering iron in your hand like a pen,
with grip on de handle (4).
3. Press and hold the on/off switch (5) to turn on
the machine. The LED working lights (3) will
turn on to bright up the working area.
4. The display (6) will light up and the machine
will automatically heat the tip to a minimum
working temperature of 200°C. To increase
working temperature press the "+" Increase
button (7). To decrease working temperature
press the "-" Decrease button. Working
temperature of machine can be set between
200°C and 450°C.
5. The soldering tip will keep the temperature
for 10min, after this the soldering iron stops
automatically and the display (6) and the LED
working lights (3) will turn off.
6. To continue using the soldering iron, repeat
step 2 to 4.
Working Instructions
1. In order to obtain a perfect soldering point, the
soldering point must be completely clean and
free of grease.
2. Before initial use, the soldering tip has to be
tin-coated, i.e. coated with soldering tin. Only
good tin coating ensures perfect soldering and
heat transfer.
3. Make sure that the soldering tip is always
clean and free of scaling and excess soldering
tin. Clean the soldering tip regularly with a wet
sponge. Never use a file for this purpose.
4. Before soldering, establish a mechanical
connection between the metals which are
to be connected together if possible. For
example, twist the wires together so that they
do not slip. In this way you will obtain stable
soldering points and avoid heat damage
through excessive soldering.
5. For the soldering of two metals, hold the
soldering tip on the connection point and
briefly add some solder. The solder melts and
flows into the soldering point. If the tin has
spread, remove the soldering iron and allow
the soldering point to cool down without
vibrations. Never heat solder directly and do
not use too much solder.
6. In the case of electronic components, the
parts to be soldered must not be heated too
much in order to avoid damage.
7. Place the soldering tip on a heat-resistant
surface or insert it into the base during
working.
8. Cleaning the solder tip on the wet sponge after
work and put the soldering iron back into the
base.
Switching off:
1. Press and hold the on/off switch (5) to turn off
the machine. Make sure that the hot soldering
tip (1) does not touch anything until it has
cooled down.
2. Cleaning the solder tip on the wet sponge (12).
3. Put the soldering iron back on the soldering
iron base (11).
