CARING FOR THE FILTERS
The grease filter should be removed and cleaned oflen, at least once a month.
NOTE: If your microwave hood combination is installed [o recirculata air, the chacoal filter
(Part No. 5230WtA003A) available from Sears by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME_L
The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be replaced every 6 ta 12 months.
Grease filter
{Part NO. 5230W2A004A):
1, Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power
2, To remove grease filtar, slide each filtar to the side.
Pull filter downward and push to the other side. The
filtar w_lldrop out.
Charcoal filter
{Part No. 5230WIA003A):
1, Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power,
2, Remove the vent grille mounting screws.
3, Push the right side lower partof the charcoal filter.
Remove the filter.
3, Soak grease filter in hot water and a mild
detergent. Scrub and swish to remove embedded
dirt and grease. Rinse well and shake to dry. Do
no[ clean filter with ammonia, corrosive cleaning
agents such as lye-based oven cleaners, or place
them in a dishwasher. The filtar will _m black or

4, Lift the back of the charcoal filter Slide the filter
straight out.
4. To replace grease filter, slide filter in the frame slot
on back side of the opening. Push filter upward and
pushto front side to lock into place.
5, Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power,
