can cause serious injuries.
Keep all safety instructions and information for

Pass on your anchoring strap only together with
these documents.
All warnings and instructions must be read and
understood before using this product. Failure to do
so may result in damage to property and serious or
fatal injury.
Application:
This feature is part of a multi-piece system with the
purpose to prevent secured tools from falling when
working at heights. The anchoring strap is used to
create a suspension point for a tool securing
lanyard by attaching it to railings or scaffolding. It
may only be used by trained users at the workplace
WARNINGS
• Only use the anchoring strap to secure approved
Metabo power tools using the accessories
provided. The machines approved for securing,
including the necessary accessories, can be
found on the Metabo homepage
(www.metabo.com) under the topic "Tool
securing".
• Use only in conjunction with a different Metabo
tool securing device.
• Never use the anchoring strap to secure persons.
• Only for use by trained persons. The users must
be trained regard to tool securing and the use of
tools at heights.
• Inspect the anchoring strap before each use.
Ensure that all components are undamaged.
• Make sure that there are never any knots in the
anchoring strap and never attach the carabiner to
the anchoring strap itself. Never loop the safety
strap through the metallic carabiner.
• Never modify or extend the anchoring strap.
• If you attach a machine to the anchoring strap,
the total weight of the secured machine including
all accessories and tool securing lanyard must
never exceed the maximum permissible weight
for the anchoring strap. Do not use the anchoring
strap for tools with a weight greater to that
indicated on the anchoring strap.
Also observe the maximum permissible weights
indicated on the other securing components.
Your tool securing system is only as strong as the
weakest connection.
• Attach the anchoring strap to tools only as
described in these operating instructions.
• Never attach the anchoring strap to movable
parts such as ladders or tool boxes.
• Only attach the anchoring strap to immobile and
adequately anchored structures such as
scaffolding or railings. The attachment point must
be shaped in such a way that the anchoring strap
cannot slip off.
• Never attach the anchoring strap directly to
machines.
• Do not suspend more than one tool at a time from
the anchoring strap.
• Never attach the anchoring strap to your own
person.
• Never use the anchoring strap near moving parts
or tools. The anchoring strap could wind up and
thus pose a great danger.
• Handle the fall protection accessories with care.
Do not use the anchoring strap to pull or carry
parts.
• Secure the work area.
• Make sure that there is sufficient space in the
area where the tool might hit the floor. No persons
must be endangered in that area.
