e Do not iran stained areas: the heat of the
soleplate fixes the stains onto the fabric
making them permanent.
e To prevent silk, wool and man-made fabrics
becoming shiny, iran them on the reverse side.
Iran silk garments in one direction only, that of
the pile, without pressing.
elmportant: never iran garments while these
are being worn!
REFILLING BOILER WATER
When the water runs out in the boiler, the no-
water indicator (5) comes on; to continue
iraning, the boiler will have to be filled again.
Praceed as follows:
e Switch off the appliance by means of switches
(2) and (3).
e Remove the plug fram the power socket.
e Unscrew cap (6). Be careful of any remaining
steam coming out.
e Fili with water, pouring this slowly at first to
prevent puffs of steam coming out.
e Screwthe cap (6) back on well.
e Fitthe plug back in the power socket.
e Start the appliance again by means of
switches (2) and (3).
AFTERUSE
When you finish iraning, switch the appliance
off by pressing the switches (2) and (3) to the
"O" position and disconnect the plug fram the
socket. Wait far the appliance to cool down
befare placing it on a flat and steady surface. Do
not empty the boiler.
CLEANING AND SERVICING
e Do not add any detergent, perfume or
descaling product if not expressly
recommended by the manufacturer.
e Regular cleaning of the tank is recommended,
praceeding as follows:
e Make sure the appliance is disconnected
fram the power supply and is completely
cold.
e Unscrew the tank fili cap (6) and turn the
appliance upside down to empty
the
residual water into the sink.
e Fili the tank with about 0,51 of water and
screwthe cap (6) backon.
e Shake slowly, reopen the cap and empty the
water again into the sink.
e Repeat operation 2-3 times to allow scale to
be removed in the water.
e Keep the soleplate clean by wiping it, when
cold, with a damp, slightly raugh cloth
e Use a damp cloth to clean the appliance
exteriar, avoid use of detergent that can stick
to plastic surfaces.
