• Na sua qualidade de consumidor, quando desejar deitar o aparelho fora coloque-o, para
tratamento posterior, num centro de recolha de resíduos ou contentor destinado a tal
fim.
• Proceda de igual forma quando tiver que eliminar as pilhas usadas.
• Nunca deite o aparelho ou as pilhas para o lixo caseiro. Assim estará a contribuir para o
cuidado e melhoria do meio ambiente.
• As pilhas não devem ser misturadas com outros resíduos domésticos.

• The scale works with 2 lithium batteries type CR2032 of 3 V. (included).
• Remove the protection label from the battery for the scale to work. If necessary open the lid of the
battery compartment.
• Place the scale on a horizontal and rigid surface.
• Do not place on carpets or any other soft surface, as the weight given would be erroneous.
• Ensure the surface where you place the bathroom scale and the platform of the scale is dry to avoid
slipping.
• Before using the scale push the switch situated on the lower part to the desired weight measure
Kg (kilograms) - Lb (pounds) - Lb-St (pounds-stones).
• Get on the scale by putting first one foot slowly on the platform and next the other.
• Stand for a few seconds until your weight shows on the display and flashes, and then stays on.
• Do not jump on or off the scale.
• The appliance switches off automatically a few seconds after carrying out the weighing operation.
• If the display shows "Err" the weighing process has not been carried out correctly then weight it
again.
• It is advisable to always weigh yourself at the same time, preferably before breakfast.
• Do not leave anything on the scale while not in use. The appliance will use up the batteries.
• Do not immerse the body of the appliance in water. If necessary clean the scale with a damp cloth.
• In cleaning do not use chemical or abrasive products, such as metallic scourers which may
deteriorate the surfaces of the appliance.
BEAR IN MIND THAT
• If "Err" shows on the display it means the maximum weight of the scale has been exceeded.
• You must proceed to change the batteries when the "Lo" symbol is showed on the display. To do
that, open the cover placed in the back side of the appliance and change the battery having in mind
the indication "+" must be visible once placed.
• The scale is a sensible electronic instrument. Some appliances of high frequency as mobiles, radio
stations, remote controls and microwaves, can cause disturbs if the scale is used nearly of them.
Keep it far away of these points if you notice irregularities on the display.
• If there is any anomaly in the display or the scale doesn't switch off automatically, remove the
battery during some seconds and place it again. If the anomaly remains replace the battery.
• The scale is not apt for commercial transactions or medical purposes.
• Designed for domestic use only.
