The kit includes: transmitter, receiver, remote unit, RJ11 patch cord, RJ45 patch cord, wire with alligator clips, Type-C USB cable, DC cable,
earbuds, carry bag, user manual, and warranty.
Install batteries
Open the battery compartment cover and insert the batteries according to the correct polarity. Close the cover.
The transmitter allows for using rechargeable batteries. Connect the Type-C USB cable to the device and the DC adapter via a USB plug
and connect it to the AC power supply to charge the device.
Getting started
Press and hold the Power button (1) for 3 seconds to turn the transmitter on/off.
Press the Power/Setup button (19) for 3 seconds to turn the receiver on/off. The NCV indicator shall light up.
Wire mapping
This function is used to check if the wires within the cable are connected correctly.
To test а network cable, plug one end of the cable into the RJ45 CONT port (8) on the transmitter and the other end into the RJ45 CONT
port (21) on the remote unit.
To test a common cable, plug the wire with alligator clips into the RJ45 CONT port (8) on the transmitter and clamp the alligator clips on
the testing cable correspondingly.
Select CONT (Wire mapping) in the main menu and press the OK button (3).
Possible outcomes are shown below:
Normal (UTP LAN cable)
Cable length measurement
This function is used to measure the length of a cable.
1.
Plug one end of the testing cable into Length/Flash port (10) on the transmitter and leave the other cable end disconnected. Use the
wire with alligator clips if required.
2.
Select Length (Length) in the main menu and press the OK button (3).
3.
Choose the required unit of measurement (meter, yard, feet).
4. Select Start (Start) and press the OK button (3).
Possible outcome is shown below:
Short
Cross
Normal (STP LAN cable)
Open connection or damaged pins
Cable disconnected from the device or not connected well
