PRECHECK
For proper PIR operation, power needs to enter from one specific
side of the fixture and out the opposite side. Input power goes into
the notched side(See Figure a) & the output power exits the
non-notched side (See Figure b).
OPTIONAL PIR MOTION SENSOR
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at circuit breaker or cord before adjusting Motion Sensor settings.
Note that fixtures with Motion Sensor module connected are non-dimmable.
1.
Remove the screws holding the fixture cover to the fixture base with .See Figure 1.
2.
Open the fixture cover to a 45degree angle and remove it by gently pulling it out of the fixture base. See Figure 2A.
3.
Disconnect the CCT selection switch wire that connects with fixture cover. See Figure 2B.
4.
Remove the module cover reserved for Motion Sensor & discard. See Figure 3.
5.
Remove the plug of a 5 pin connector (available in the fixture) & discard. See Figure 4.
Note- The plug is important to complete the circuit hence if the PIR sensor is removed from the circuit, the plug will be required in order to
complete the circuit. When PIR module is not connected you will need to reconnect the 5 pin plug to completed the circuit. The fixtures
will not function properly if the Plug is not connected when PIR module is not installed.
6.
Connect 5 pin connector (available in the fixture) to the Motion Sensor end. See Figure 6.
7 .
Place the Motion Sensor properly on the screw poles available on fixture base. See Figure 5.
8.
Fasten the Motion Sensor with screws(provided with Motion Sensor) with 2.6-3.5 lb.in torque.
9.
Secure all the wires properly into the fixture base.
10.
Position fixture cover at 45 degree from horizontal. Place fixture cover back into the fixture base. See Figure 7 .
11.
Reconnect the CCT selectable switch wire that disconnected in Step 3.
12.
Using the screws removed in step 1, fasten the fixture cover to the fixture base with 2.6-3.5 lb.in torque.
13.
Adjust settings as desired, see below for descriptions.
A.Default setting- The Motion Sensor switch will be in the "O" position by default. This will control the fixture the module is in, and every
fixture connected in series to it. See figure 8.
B.Alternative setting- When the Motion Sensor switch is in the "I" position, the Motion Sensor will only control the fixture the module is in,
and NOT the fixtures connected in series with it. See figure 8.
Figure 8
b.Alternative setting- Motion Sensor will control fixtures in series that have been daisy-chained. Please note that when the switch is in "O"
direction, the motion sensor is not in the default setting. See figure 8.
Note-
Classified
a. Different screw poles, pin connectors & module covers are assigned to Motion Sensor & USB port.
b. Position for PIR and USB modules are laser printed inside the 24'',36'' and 48'' fixtures
