To ensure that items are properly packaged
and delivered when you send them to us,
please contact our customer service or the
point of sale at which the equipment was
purchased.
When shipping or disposing of batteries and
cordless tools, always ensure that they are
packed individually in plastic bags to prevent
short circuits and fi res.
To ensure that the battery pack provides long ser-
vice, you should take care to recharge it promptly.
You must recharge the battery pack when you
notice that the performance of the device drops.
Never allow the battery pack to become fully di-
scharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.
5.10 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 19)
Press the button for the battery capacity indicator
(Item A). The battery capacity indicator (Item B)
shows the charge status of the battery using 3
LEDs.
All 3 LEDs are lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED blinks:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LEDs blink:
The battery temperature is too low. Remove the
battery from the equipment, keep it at room tem-
perature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this me-
ans that the rechargeable battery has undergone
exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove
the battery from the equipment. Never use or
charge a defective battery.

6.1 Recommended spreading settings
(Fig. 20/Item 3)
Each spreader material is supplied with inst-
ructions on how many grams per square meter
are to be spread. Set a low fl ow rate for smaller
quantities and increase the fl ow rate for larger
quantities.
The following settings are recommended:
Setting 1+2: Fine grass seeds
Setting 3+4: Light fertilizer
Setting 5+6: Heavy fertilizer or de-icer
Note:
Numerous variable factors (such as walking
speed, spreader wheel speed etc.) do not allow a
specifi c recommendation for the spreader setting.
Rather, the optimum setting must be determined
by the user when starting with the work.
6.2 Spreading (Fig. 20-25)
Note:
Measure the area over which you intend to spread
the spreader material and determine the size of
the area in square meters. Work out the amount
of spreader material required by referring to the
amounts given on the fertilizer/seed packaging.
Set the speed of the spreader wheel (12) with
the speed controller (2) (1= lowest / 6= highest
speed). Use the mechanical spreading width con-
troller (10) to infl uence the spreading width on the
left-hand side.
Proceed at normal speed over the area where you
want to spread the material.
1. Ensure that the infi nitely adjustable speed
controller (Item 2) is set to position „1".
2. Place the spreader on a paved surface and fi ll
spreading material into the spreading material
compartment (Item 7).
3. Use the spreading quantity adjuster (Item 3)
to set the level recommended for the sprea-
ding material in question.
4. Use the speed controller (Item 2) and the
mechanical spreading width controller (Item
10) to set the required spreading width. If you
do not know whether the settings are conform
with the required spreading width, begin with
a low speed and a small spreading width.
5. Gently press and hold the On/Off switch (Item
14): the spreader wheel (Item 12) will rotate.
Press more fi rmly on the lock-off button (Item
15) to release the pusher and on the On/Off
switch (Item 14): the pusher (Item 17a) will
open and the tool will begin spreading.
