INTENDED USE
This tool set combines the applications of two VAG OEM tools into one kit allowing crankshaft to be
turned safely on Audi V6 and V8 petrol engines and they are to be used as OEM T40257, T40272.
The included tools are suitable for e.g. Audi A6, A7, A8, RS4, RS5, RS6, RS7, S6, S7, S8 (2010-)
with engines: 4.0L engine code LXB, CPAA, CHVA, CHNA and
4.2L engine code CEUA, CEUC, CGTA, CRDB, CTFA, CTGA, CTGE, CWUB, CWUC, DDTA, CFSA.

If you remove the ignition key before repairing, you can prevent the engine from being started
accidentally and resulting in engine damage and personal injuries.

This manual serves as a brief guide and does not replace a workshop manual. Always refer to
the vehicle-specific service literature, particularly the technical data such as torque values and
instructions for disassembly/assembly, etc.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. Packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with
the environment. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information. Dispose
of this product at the end of its working life environmentally.
