Cleaning Procedures
Burner Grates
• Allow to cool beforetouching or removing.
• Wash grateswith warm,soapywater and a nonabrasive, plastic
scrubbingpad.Forstubbornsoils,cleanwith a soap-filled,nonabra-
sivepad or CooktopCleaningCreme(Part#20000001)** a nd a
sponge.If soil remains,reapplyCooktopCleaningCreme,coverwith a
damppapertowel and soak for 30 minutes. S crubagain,rinseand
dry.
• Do not cleanin dishwasheror self-cleaningoven.
BurnerCapsand Sealed Gas Burners
RemovableBurnerCaps
• Allow burnerto cool.Removeburnercap and wash in soapywater
with a plasticscouringpad.Forstubbornsoils,cleanwith a soap-
filled,nonabrasive pad or CooktopCleaningCreme(Part
#20000001)** a nd a sponge.
• Do not cleanin dishwasheror self-cleaningoven.
Sealed Gas Burner
• Cleanfrequently. A llow burnerto cool.Cleanwith soapand plastic
scouringpad.Forstubbornsoils,cleanwith a soap-filled,nonabrasive
pad.
• Be carefulnot to getwater into the center of the burner.
• Usecarewhen cleaningthe ignitor.If the ignitoriswet or damaged
the surfaceburnerwill not light.
• To ensureevencooking performance, k eepburner portsfree of food
soils/debris.
ControlKnobs
• Removeknobsin the OFFpositionby pulling up.
• Washwith warm,soapywater,rinseand dry.Do not useabrasive
cleaningagentsor abrasivepadsasthey mayscratchthe finish.
• Do not soak.
• Knobsmaybe cleanedin the dishwasher. Remove anywater marks
with hot soapywater to preventpermanent s tains.
• After replacingthe knobs,turn on each burnerto be surethe knobs
havebeencorrectlyreplaced.
Cooktop- PorcoiainEnamel
Porcelainenamelis glassfusedon metaland maycrack or chip with
misuse.It is acid resistant, n ot acidproof.All spillovers, e speciallyacidic
or sugaryspillovers, s houldbe wiped up immediately with a dry cloth.
• When cool,wash with soapywater,rinseand dry.
• Never wipe off a warm or hot surfacewith a damp cloth.This may
causecrackingor chipping.
• Never useovencleaners,abrasive or causticcleaningagentson
exteriorfinish of cooktop.

• Daily Cleaning/LightSoil --Wipe with one of the following - soapy

Rinseand dry.To polishand help preventfingerprints,follow with

• Moderate/Heavy Soil -- Wipewith one of the following- BonAmi*,
SmartCleanse¢, o r Soft Scrub*- usinga damp spongeor softcloth.
Rinseand dry. Stubbornsoilsmay be removed with a dampScotch-
Brite*pad; rub evenlywith the grain.Rinseand dry.To restoreluster
and removestreaks,follow with StainlessSteelMagic Spray.
• Discoloration -- Usinga dampspongeor soft cloth,wipe with
CameoStainless SteelCleane¢.Rinseimmediately and dry.To remove
streaksand restoreluster,follow with StainlessSteelMagic Spray.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Surface burner fails to light.
• Checkto be sure powerplug is securelyinsertedinto wall outlet.
• Checkor re-set circuit breaker. Checkor replacefuse.
• Checkpowersupply.
• Checkto be sure burneris correctlyratedfor your kind
of gas.
• Checkto be sure burnerports or ignitionports are
not clogged.
• Checkto be sure ignitoris dry and clicking.Burnerwill not light if
ignitor is damaged, s oiledor wet. If ignitordoesn'tclick,turn control
knob OFF.
• Checkto be sure burnercap is correctlyseatedon the burnerbase.
Surface burner flame lilts off ports.
• Checkto be surea pan issitting on the grate above.
• Contactan authorizedservicer.
The flame is uneven.
• Burnerports may be clogged.
• Flamemay needto be adjusted.Contactan authorized servicer.
Surface burner flame is yellow in color.
• Contactan authorizedservicer.
• Someyellow tips on the flameare acceptablewhen usingLP gas.
