OPERATION - Before first use
Remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging
OPERATION - Fitting the connection plug to the charging holder
1. Insert the adapter's (2) charging plug (3) through the opening in the base of the charging holder (1).
Turn the connection plug clockwise through 90 degrees.
OPERATION - Mounting the charging holder to a wall (optional)
The description below corresponds to 2 images on page 2.
You can put the charging holder on a worktop; you can also mount it on a wall. This will enable
you stow the hand-held vacuum cleaner neatly in a permanent storage place.
OPERATION - Charging the batteries
1. Fit the hand-held vacuum cleaner to the charging holder.
2. Put the adapter into the wall socket. The charging light of the vacuum cleaner will now illuminate.
3. Allow the hand-held vacuum cleaner to charge for at least 16 hours. The adapter may become slightly
warm whilst it is charging. This is normal, and does not indicate that the appliance is defective.
4. Remove the adapter from the mains socket.
5. The appliance is now ready for use.

The hand-held vacuum cleaner could fall off the charging holder or the charging system could fail if
it is not positioned correctly.
OPERATION - Dry vacuum cleaning
Use the hand-held vacuum cleaner only when the filter is correctly fitted (see 'Cleaning the
filter'). A damaged or incorrectly-fitted filter can cause damage to the appliance.
1. Make sure the hand-held vacuum cleaner's batteries are charged (see Charging the batteries).
2. If so required, fit an accessory to the appliance.
3. Switch on the appliance by sliding the On/Off switch forwards.
4. Switch off the appliance after use by sliding the On/Off switch back.
5. After use, return the appliance to the charging holder.
OPERATION - Wet vacuum cleaning
Use the hand-held vacuum cleaner only when the filter is correctly fitted (see 'Cleaning the
filter'). A damaged or incorrectly-fitted filter can cause damage to the appliance.
1. Make sure the hand-held vacuum cleaner's batteries are charged (see Charging the batteries).
2. Fit the rubber attachement to the appliance.
3. Switch on the appliance by sliding the On/Off switch forwards.
4. Switch off the appliance after use by sliding the On/Off switch back.
5. Empty the liquid from the dust/liquid receptacle
6. After use, return the appliance to the charging holder.
ATTENTION:
•
Do not use the appliance to suck up solids and liquids either at the same time or after each other.
•
The level of liquid in the dust-liquid receptacle may not rise above the 'MAX.' level.
•
Do not hold the hand-held vacuum cleaner vertically upright or downwards, to prevent liquid from
entering the appliance. Empty any liquid in the dust/liquid receptacle before returning the appliance
to the charging holder.
