If the model of your appliance does not have the
accessories described above, they can also be bought
separately from the Technical Assistance Service.
USE AND CARE
• Fully extend the appliance's supply cord before each use.
• Do not use the appliance on wet hair.
• Do not use the appliance if the On/Off switch button does
not work.
• If you use the appliance in a bathroom or similar place,
unplug the appliance from the mains when it is not in
use, even if it is only for a short while. Proximity to water
involves risk, even if the appliance is disconnected.
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use
and before undertaking any cleaning task.
• Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or
persons with physical, sensory or reduced mental or lack
of experience and knowledge.
• Do not store the appliance if it is still hot.
• Never leave the appliance connected and unattended if
it is not in use. This saves energy and prolongs the life of
the appliance.
• Never rest the appliance on a surface while in use.
• Do not use the appliance with pets or animals.
• Do not use the appliance to dry textiles of any kind.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE
• Make sure that all products' packaging has been
removed.
• Please read the "Safety advice and warnings" booklet
carefully before first use.
• Some parts of the appliance have been lightly greased.
Consequently, the first time the appliance is used, light
smoke may be detected. After a short time, this smoke
will disappear.
OPENING AND CLOSING THE APPLIANCE (FIG. 1)
• To close the appliance, close the plates and slide the
plates lock (E) to the closed position (towards the plates).
• To open the appliance, slide the lock in the opposite
direction. The plates will open.
USE
• Extend the supply cord completely before plugging it in.
• Connect the appliance to the mains.
• Turn the appliance on by using the On/Off button (C).
• The appliance will show the temperature flashing on
display, indicating that the appliance is preheating. (Fig.
2). The default temperature is 190 ºC.
• Select the desired temperature using the temperature
selector buttons (D). The temperature can be adjusted in
5 levels, between 150 ºC - 230 ºC.
• Leave to heat up for a few 60 seconds.
• Wait until the temperature display stops flashing, which
will indicate that the appliance has reached the desired
temperature.
• Once the temperature has been selected, to lock it,
press the "-" button on the temperature selector (D) for
4 seconds, and a padlock will appear. To unlock the
temperature, press the "-" button again, and the padlock
will disappear.
• Create a straight or wavy style.
TO STRAIGHTEN (FIG. 3)
• Take a lock of hair (about 5 cm wide) and place it
between the plates.
• Close and slide the plates through the entire strand from
root to tip.
• Repeat this operation until you have finished with all the
hair.
• We recommend that you start with the hair in the lower
layers and continue with the upper layers for the best
results.
FOR STYLING (FIG. 4)
• For a wavy or curly look, the parting of the strands should
be vertical for a more natural curl fall.
• The strands should be very thick for a big, natural curl or
thinner for a small, romantic curl.
