Product usage
Before first use
•
Unpack the unit. Remove all packaging labels and materials from the appliance.
•
Check that the appliance and accessories are complete and free of transport damage. In
case of transport damage, incomplete delivery or faulty appliance, do not use the appliance
and return it to your dealer or customer service.
•
Before the first use, wipe the base unit with a soft dry cloth, and clean the food contact
accessories according to the CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE section.
•
The appliance may give off a little smoke or a slight odour on the first use. This is normal
due to its newness and will go away with regular use.
WARNING!
To avoid danger of suffocation or choking, keep plastic bags and all packaging
away from babies and children.
Using the Fondue Set
Use this fondue set indoors, in a well ventilated area.
1.
Place the appliance on a firm, level and heat-resistant surface.
2.
Unroll the power cord completely. Arrange it so that it is not in a position where it can be
pulled by children or pets, or tripped over.
3.
Fill the fondue pot with your favourite recipe (cheese, oil or chocolate fondue). Make sure
the content is not filled below the "MIN" or above the "MAX" mark indicated on the pot.
4.
Place the fondue pot on the base unit. Ensure it sits flat on the heating plate.
5.
Place the splatter guard on the fondue pot.
6.
Check that the thermostat knob is turned to the "0" (OFF) position, and then plug the
power cord into the wall socket.
7.
Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to turn the appliance on and select the heat
level [0 (OFF) – Low – Medium – High-MAX]. The indicator light will turn on. The
indicator light turns off when the temperature of the level selected is reached.
During use, the indicator light will cycle on and off as the thermostat automatically
alternates the heating plate on and off to keep the temperature at the level selected in
the thermostat knob.
8.
Adjust the heat by turning the thermostat knob clockwise to increase the heat, or anti-
clockwise to lower the heat, as required.
9.
Dip bite-size foods with the fondue fork and cook until done to your preference.
