*Specialist knowledge required for
installation
The following specialist knowledge is
particularly important during installati-
on:
• The "5 safety rules" to be used:
• Disconnect from the mains and
secure against a restart
• Check that the system is de-ener-
gised; earth and short circuit; cover
or cordon off neighbouring live
parts
• Select a suitable tool, measuring
equipment and, if necessary, per-
sonal safety equipment
• Evaluate measuring results
• Select electrical installation materi-
al for safeguarding shut-off condi-
tions
• IP protection types
• Install electrical installation mate-
rial
• Type of supply network (TN sys-
tem, IT system, TT system) and the
resulting connecting conditions
(such as classical zero balancing,
protective earthing and required
additional measures).
The supplied 20 cm connecting cable
(0.22 mm²) with ferrules is required to
install the contact interface. Follow
these steps:
• Remove the rubber caps from the
ferrules prior to connection.
• Connect the pushbutton/switch/
contact in use to the connecting
cables IN1 (orange) (E) and GND
(black) (F) according to the con-
nection diagram.
The device can be installed inside
a flush-mounted box along with
the pushbutton and switch as long
as it does not contain any live
wires.
The connecting cables for the
pushbutton/switch/contact must
not be longer than three metres.
