Problem
The stove does not light with electric
ignition
The stove is not fed with pellets (the
auger does not turn)
The resistor does not come on
The stove does not make the transition
from Startup phase to Operating phase
(switches off 18' after switch-on)
Irregular combustion, glass goes black
and stove tends to go out
Stove tends to go out when set to first
heat output setting
Excessive consumption in position 1
The hot-air blower does not come on
Fan works all the time, even when the
stove is cold
Fan operating at top speed the whole
time
The stove does not turn off and the
draught fan works all the time, even
when the stove is cold
Smoke released into the room
The first time the stove is turned on, no
pellets fall into burn pot
Cause of problem
Wall outlet not powered
Faulty plug
Fuse blown
Control panel ON/OFF switch faulty
Control unit memory failure
General control unit faulty (electrical-type sounds can
be heard)
Microswitch on "Ecofire" does not produce contact
when operated
Auger clogged by pellet residues
No pellets in hopper
Auger motor failure
Pressure switch does not detect vacuum
145° C safety thermostat trips
Resistor not powered, or burnt out; incorrect hole
alignment
46° C minimum smoke temperature thermostat
tripped
Air getting in owing to worn door gasket
Excessive moisture in pellets or wood
Exchanger and flue pipe clogged
Wind blowing in from outside
Too few pellets fed into burn pot
Excessive moisture in pellets
Not enough combustion air to burn pot as stove is
dirty
Fuelled with wood
Trimmer on control panel set to max.
Room temp. thermostat tripped and automatic mode
set to position 2
46° C minimum blower thermostat contact always
open
46° C minimum blower thermostat contact always
closed
100° C maximum blower thermostat contact always
closed
46° C minimum smoke temperature thermostat
contact always closed
Internal pipe couplings are not airtight
No power supply and combustion in progress
New stove with auger empty or pellets run out
Solution
Use a tester to check for current on line.
Also check if there is an earth + unipolar circuit
breaker
Use a tester to check and, where necessary, replace
Replace 2A fuse: can be reached via control unit
Replace control panel
Reset stove by setting ON/OFF switch to OFF
and unplug for a few seconds before switching
back on.
Check whether it has been damaged by a
thunderbolt and replace
Check whether it has been tampered with and
check for incorrect activation
Clean the feed pipe, reached via the pellet
hopper: remove the safety guard
Load with fuel
Check with a tester and replace
Clean the exchanger and flue pipe. Stove
clogged. Clean smoke exchanger, smoke holes,
vent pipe, any bends, draught-diverter cowl.
Wind blowing in from outside: install draught-
diverter cowl.
Reset the thermostat manually. Check why the
safety device tripped:
• thermostat faulty
• hot-air blower faulty
• break in 100° C max. thermostat
• current was cut off before the automatic
switch-off cycle had finished
Check connections, replace, correct hole
alignment
Check and replace
Check and replace
Check quality of fuel
Perform recommended cleaning
Install draught-diverter cowl
Adjust minimum trimmer on back of control panel
Check fuel type and place used for storage
Perform recommended cleaning
Increase fan power to setting 4
Adjust minimum trimmer on back of control
panel, setting it to "-"
Set room temp. thermostat knob to maximum
(35° C) and feeding potentiometer to minimum
Check and replace
Check and replace
Check and replace
Check and replace
Check, seal or replace
Connect vent pipe with difference between levels
of at least 1.5 metres, as per instruction booklet
Fill the burn pot manually with a handful of
pellets
