Use
-This appliance has been designed to wave, curl,
curl ends in and out, add body and straighten hair.
-Do not use the brush on wet hair. Be sure that your
hair is completely dry and combed.
Straightener opening and closing (Fig. 1)
-To close the straightener, close the irons and press
the open and close control. The irons will be locked
in the closed position. To open the irons, slide the
button the other way. The irons will open.
Operation:
-Remove all elements from the inside or outside of
the appliance used for protection during transport or
for sales promotions, such as paper or plastic bags,
plastic sheets, cardboard and stickers.
-Completely remove all the elements used for
transportation and packaging.
1. Place the straightener on a flat, heat-resistant
surface.
2. Plug it in.
3. Press the ON button (B), you will hear a beep and
the temperature selector (C) will flash, indicating
that the straightner is functioning (Fig 2) The default
temperature is 180ºC
4. Select the ideal temperature for your type of hair
by pressing the temperature selector . It is advisable
to use the lowest heat settings for very fine, dyed
or damaged hair and higher temperatures for thick,
curly and unmanageable hair.
• With each touch of the temperature switch the
temperature gets progressively hotter 180-200-190-
210-230ºC If you want a lower temperature, press
the temperature selector button - (D), the minimum
temp. for this hair iron is 110°C.
• While heating, an icon will flash alongside the
selected position .
• When it reaches temperature the said icon will stop
flashing and remain lit.
• The straightener will maintain the preselected
temperature constant.
5. Create a straight or wavy style.
6. Press the On/Off button when you have finished
using the hair iron
7. Unplug the appliance from the mains and wait until
it has cooled before storing.
8. Clean the appliance
Straightening (Fig. 3)
1. Take a lock of hair (approximately 5 cm wide) and
place it between the plates. Close them and slide
the straightener down the lock of hair from the roots
to the tips.
2. Repeat this operation until all your hair is com-
pletely straight.
For best results, we recommend you begin with the
lower layers of hair and continue with the top layers.

Styling (Fig. 4)
For a wavy or curly look, separate vertical locks so
the curls fall more naturally.
Take thicker sections for bigger curls or natural-
looking waves and finer strands for romantic ringlets
and tighter curls.
1. Wrap each lock of hair around the straightener
using a circular motion (as through it were a round
brush) to get a wave and ringlet-shaped lock.
2. Hold the end of the hair and wrap the hair as you
slide the hair iron downward.
Cleaning and maintenance
-Before cleaning the appliance, make sure it is
unplugged from the mains.
-Only clean the appliance when it is cold.
-Make sure the plates are cool before cleaning the
appliance.
-Clean the surface of the straightener with a dry
cloth.
-Clean the plates with a damp cloth and then dry
them.
-Do not use abrasive products for cleaning.
-Never immerse the main body in water or any other
liquid, or put it in the dishwasher. Do not allow the
appliance to come into contact with water during
cleaning. Avoid splashing water on the appliance or
the power cord.
-Carry out the maintenance operations indicated
in the CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE section to
prolong the life of the appliance.
Faults and repairs
-Do not modify or repair the appliance. In the event
of any anomaly in the appliance, do not use it and
take it to an authorised assistance service.
-Do not use parts or accessories that are not
supplied or recommended by TAURUS.
IMPORTANT: When you want to dispose
of the appliance, NEVER throw it in the
rubbish bin. Take it to the recycling or
waste collection centre closest to your
home for processing.
You will thus be helping to take care of
the environment.
