OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Intended purpose
Using the WIEGAND
a powder that is ready for use without applying any force. By changing the galenic structure, a suitable
administration form can be offered to patients who experience problems in swallowing whole tablets.
When operating the mortar correctly, i.e., hygienically and utilizing only the original WIEGAND
Crusher Pouches, neither the active substances of the drug nor its dosage are changed.
Intended users
a) Qualified healthcare professionals who are authorized to administer medicines to patients.
b) Lay helpers and patients familiar with the dispensing and/or application of the prescribed drugs,
who have been instructed in the handling of the WIEGAND
Not intended users
c) All other persons who do not fulfil the conditions in accordance with a) and b).
Important notice!

Certain drugs are not to be
crushed or mixed.
Ask your physician or pharmacist before you crush or mix medicines. Pay attention to the information
on the package inserts provided by the manufacturer in order not to impair the effect of the medicine.
Always follow the operating instructions. Any other form of utilization or handling of the WIEGAND
PillCrusher Professional without knowledge of its correct usage is considered as "not corresponding
to the intended purpose" and is thus deemed abusive.
A new pouch is to be used for each tablet processing.
Cleaning and maintenance
For perfect hygiene, the WIEGAND
lint-free cloth. Do not clean the PillCrusher under flowing water or with a disinfection spray.
Guarantee
Wiegand AG grants a limited (*) warranty of 5 years on material and manufacturing defects on the
WIEGAND PillCrusher Professional. The guarantee period begins on the delivery date to the end-

user. The warranty can be claimed either directly from Wiegand AG or one of our authorized sales
partners in all countries in which the WIEGAND
The WIEGAND PillCrusher Professional is maintenance-free. Thus, the warranty implies no periodic

maintenance.
(*) Excluded from the warranty are damages caused by inappropriate handling, in particular, if bags or
containers other than the WIEGAND
Liability
Wiegand AG is responsible for the flawless function of the equipment based on adherence to the op-
erating instructions described in this document. It is not liable for inappropriate or abusive application
of the equipment. Furthermore, it is not responsible for consequences suffered by third persons due
to the administration of drugs processed with the PillCrusher Professional.
