6. Instructions for assembly
Installing the crossbar:
1. Lay the combination ladder down. Unlock the
extension section [B] (and the extension ladder
[ J ] ) at the locking hook [E], raise slightly and
move one rung backwards.
The foot pedal [A-1] is now readily accessible.
Then lock the locking hooks on the ladder rungs
(see 7.3 Adjustment and locking mechanism
with locking hooks)
2. First unscrew a foot [C-1] and a stop screw
[C-2] on the crossbar [C]
(Phillips screwdriver required).
3. Open foot pedal [A-1] and insert crossbar [C]
as shown.
4. Screw foot [C-1] and stop screw [C-2] on tightly
again onto the crossbar.
Pay attention to the correct installation position!
5. Align crossbar and close foot pedal.
WARNING
Risk of serious injury as a
result of the ladder tipping over!
The combination ladder must only be used with the
correct crossbar and stop screw installed.
