Normal Equalization
@
To equalize the signal from the amplifier, press the SOURCE
mode selector button "4!, set the equalizer input selector [9] to
the SOURCE/OSC
mode and the output
selector '10) to the EQ
EFFECT
mode.

To hear the unequalized signal from the amplifier, set the
output selector /10} to the SOURCE/OSC mode.
@
To equalize the signal from the tape deck connected
to the
rear panel tape terminals, set the equalizer input selector (9
to the TAPE mode and the output selector 10} to the EQ EFFECT
mode.

To hear the unequalized signal from the tape deck connected to
the rear pane! tape terminals, set the output selector !10 to the
TAPE
mode.
Recording
e
To record the equalized pragram
source on the tape deck
connected to the rear panel tape terminals, press the SOURCE
mode selector button 4}, set the equalizer input selector '9]to
the SOURCE/OSC
mode and the recording selector 8) to the EQ
EFFECT mode.

To record the unequalized program source on the tape deck
connected to the rear pane! tape terminals, set the recording
selector (8) to the SOURCE mode.
Note that if the tape deck
has three heads, the just-recorded signal can be monitored.
Dubbing
®
Tapes can be dubbed (copied) from the tape deck connected
to the amplifier to the tape deck connected to the EQ-35.
To
perform dubbing, put the original tape in the deck connected
to the amplifier and the blank tape in the deck connected to
the EQ-35. Set the recording selector '8] to the SOURCE
mode and start playback of the first deck and recording of
the second deck after confirming that the amplifier is in the
dubbing mode.
If the amplifier is equipped
for dubbing in
either
direction,
the original
tape can be putin
the deck
connected to the EQ-35 and the blank tape in the other deck.
In addition to these operations, the EQ-35 can be used for a wide
range of other purposes.
Refer to the block diagram and the
operation mode display when using the EQ-35 for an.eperation
not described above.
The darkened arrows in the operation mode
display drawings below show the signal path for each operation
mode.
The block diagram for connection to an amplifier with a
recording selector is shown on page 9. Refer to the amplifier's
instruction manual for details.
When the OSCILLATOR SWEEP or SPOT mode button
(41 is pressed, the input signal will no longer be heard and
a test signal will be generated instead.
To monitor the
test signal, set output selector 10' in the SOURCE/OSC
mode.
To monitor the test signal equalized according to
the current level control settings, set the equalizer input
selector (9; to the SOURCE/OSC mode and the output
selector [10} to the EQ EFFECT
mode.
To record the
test signal, set the recording selector [8] to the EQ EFFECT
mode and the input selector [9] to the SOURCE/OSC mode.
Refer to the operation mode display [7} to confirm that
you have made the proper settings for these and other
equalizer modes.

Normale Entzerrung
Fiir die Entzerrung der vom Verstarker kommenden Signale
sind der SOURCE-Betriebsartenwahler '4, einzurasten, der
Eingangswahler (9, auf Position SOURCE/OSC und der
Ausgangswahler 110) auf Position EQ EFFECT zu stellen.
Um das nicht entzerrte Signal vom Verstarker zu horen, den
Ausgangswahler '10, auf SOURCE/OSC stellen.
Fur eine Entzerrung der Signale des an die Tonbandanschlusse
an der Gerateruckseite angeschlossenen Tonbandgerates
den
Eingangswahler 9; auf Position TAPE und den Ausgangswahler
10, auf Position EQ EFFECT stellen.
Wenn das nicht entzerrte Signal des an die Tonband-
anscniusse an der Gerdteriickseite anyeschiiussenen Tonband
gehdort werden
soll,
den Ausgangswahler 10; auf Position TAPE
stellen.
Aufnahme
Fir die Aufzeichnung der: entzerrten Programmauelle auf einem
an die Tonbandanschlusse (Rickseite) angeschlossenen Tonband-
gerat den Betriebsartenwahler SOURCE
4: einrasten, den
Eingangswahler '9 auf SOURCE/OSC und den Aufnahmewahischaiter
8j auf EQ EFFECT stellen.
Wenn die nicht entzerrte Programmauelle auf einem Tonbandgerat
(angeschlossen an die ruckseitigen Tonbandanschlisse) aufgezeichnet
werden
soll, den
Aufnahmewahlschalter
(8| auf Position SOURCE
stellen.
Kopieren von Tonbandaufnahmen
zu laden ist. Danach den Aufnahmewahlschalter (8) auf
Position SOURCE
stellen, den Verstarker auf Kopierbetrieb
einstellen, das erste Tonbandgerat auf die Wiedergabefunktion
und das zweite Tonbandgerat auf die Aufnahmefunktion schaiten.
Ist der Verstarker mit Kopiermoglichkeiten in beiden Richtungen
ausgestattet, dann darf das Original-Tonband auch in das an den
EQ-35 angeschiossene Tonbandgerat und das Leer-Tonband in
das an den Verstarker angeschlossene Tonbandgerat eingesetzt
werden.
Pfeile in den nachfolgenden Darstellungen der Betriebsarten-Anzeige
zeigen den Signalweg der cinzelnen
Betriebearton.
Das Blockschaltbild
fiir den Anschiu& an einen Verstarker mit Aufnahmewahler ist auf
Seite 9 abgebildet.
Weitere Einzelheiten sind der Bedienungsanleitung
des Verstarkers zu entnehmen.
Hinweis:
Wenn
der OSCILLATOR
SWEEP-oder
OSCILLATOR
STOP-
Betriebsartenwahler [4] eingerastet wird, kann das Ein-
gangssignal nicht mehr gehort werden, da an dessen Stelle
ein Testsignal erzeugt wird.
Um das Testsignal mitzuhoren,
den Ausgangswahler 10) auf Position SOURCE/OSC stellen.
Soll das gema& der Einstellung der Pegelsteller entzerrte
Testsignal mitgehort werden, dann mu& der Eingangswahler
9] auf Position SOURCE /OSC gestellt werden.
Fur
Bandaufnahme des Testsignals
den Aufnahmewahlschalter
[8i auf Position EQ EFFECT und den Eingangswahler (9)
auf Position SOURCE/OSC stellen. Die Betriebsarten-Anzeige
[7| beachten, um richtige Einstellung fur diese und andere
Frequenzgangentzerrer-Betriebsarten sicherzustellen.
