7. CONTROL PANEL
GREEN LED ON
YELLOW LED ON
RED LED BLINKING
BUTTON
The green Power on LED will light up on the control panel and
the pump will start (yellow Pump on LED on) and keep running
for several seconds to start up the system.
If this time is insufficient, the device will stop the pump (red
Failure LED blinking).
Keep the Restart button pushed in until the red Failure LED turns
off and the water comes out of the opened tap. When the tap is
closed the pump will stop after a few seconds (yellow Pump on
LED turns off).
From now on the device will turn the pump on and off
depending on the opening and closing of the tap. If there is
a water shortage the device will stop the pump and protect
against dry running (red Failure LED blinking).
Once the cause of the failure has been resolved, press the
Restart button to restore operation.
8. REGULATING THE PRESSURE OF THE SYSTEM
Open a tap to start the pump. Close the tap and wait for the tap
to stop to read the system pressure on the pressure gauge (Fig.
1/C) which is normally factory-calibrated at 42 psi (3 bar).
To regulate the pressure, open the tap again, turn the knob
in a clockwise direction to increase the pressure or in a
counterclockwise direction to decrease the pressure (Fig. 3).
Close the tap and read the pressure on the pressure gauge
with the pump stopped. Repeat the process until you reach the
desired value.
The pressure generated by the pump is usually, at least, 22 psi
(1.5 bar) higher than the set pressure of the system.
The pressure of the system can be regulated from a minimum
of 42 psi (3 bar) to a maximum of 94 psi (6.5 bar) providing the
following conditions exist:
The effective pressure of the pump and the height of the water
column of the system, which influences the device, must be
checked in relation to the set pressure, which is indicated
below with a regulation pitch of 7 psi (0.5 bar) ignoring the
intermediate values.
- System pressure regulated at 42 psi (3 bar)
The pump pressure must be a minimum of 65 psi (4.5 bar) and
a maximum od 174 psi (12 bar)
The water column between the device and the highest tap must
not exceed 40 ft (12 m.).
- System pressure regulated at 50 psi (3.5 bar)
The pump pressure must be a minimum of 72 psi (5.0 bar) and
a maximum of 174 psi (12 bar).
The water column between the device and the highest tap must
not exceed 50 ft (15 m.).
- System pressure regulated at 58 psi (4 bar)
The pump pressure must be a minimum of 80 psi (5.5 bar) and
a maximum of 174 psi (12 bar).
The water column between the device and the highest tap must
not exceed 65 ft (20 m.).

- System pressure regulated at 65 psi (4.5 bar)
The pump pressure must be a minimum of 87 psi (6 bar) and a
maximum of 174 psi (12 bar).
The water column between the device and the highest tap must
not exceed 80 ft (25 m.).
- System pressure regulated at 72 psi (5 bar)
The pump pressure must be a minimum of 94 psi (6.5 bar) and
a maximum of 74 psi (12 bar).
The water column between the device and the highest tap must
not exceed 90 ft (30 m.).
- System pressure regulated at 80 psi (5.5 bar)
The pump pressure must be a minimum of 101 psi (7 bar) and a
maximum of 174 psi (12 bar).
The water column between the device and the highest tap must
not exceed 115 ft (35 m.).
- System pressure regulated at 87 psi (6 bar)
The pump pressure must be a minimum of 109 psi (7.5 bar) and
a maximum of 174 psi (12 bar).
The water column between the device and the highest tap must
not exceed 130 ft (40 m.).
- System pressure regulated at 84 psi (6.5 bar)
The pump pressure must be a minimum of 116 psi (8 bar) and a
maximum of 174 psi (12 bar).
The water column between the device and the highest tap must
not exceed 145 ft (45 m.).
If the pump pressure does not reach the indicated levels, the
pump will jam.
If the height of the water column exceeds the indicated levels,
the pump will fail to restart. To overcome this problem, install
the device at a higher level to recreate the aforementioned
conditions. Otherwise, set a higher pressure in the system.
9. OPERATION
When a tap is open, the device starts the pump which remains
operating while the tap is open (Fig. 3/A). After the tap is closed,
the device restores maximum pressure to the system, then
stops the pump and returns to the standby mode (Fig. 3/B).
In the event of a water shortage during aspiration, the device
recognizes the failure and signals it with the red Failure light,
and stops the pump (Fig. 3/C) protecting it from dry running.
Once the causes for the blockage have been removed, you can
press the Restart button to restore normal operation. In the
case of a temporary power outage, the device will automatically
restart as soon as the electricity returns.
AUTOMATIC RESTART AND OPERATIONAL TEST
In the case of stopping due to a water shortage, the device
will automatically make 10 double attempts to restart over the
24 hours following the failure, each lasting approximately 5
seconds to allow the pump and the system to reload if possible.
After the last failed restart attempt, the device will remain
permanently in alarm (red Failure LED blinking) and awaiting a
manual reset, which is done by pressing the Restart button.
The user can always try to reset and restart the device at any
time by pressing the Restart button. If for any reason the pump
remains inactive for 24 consecutive hours, the device will carry
out a start-up of the pump motor for about 5 seconds.
In case of a temporary blackout, the device will automatically
reset once the electricity returns.
