Laguna Utility Pumps 4, 5, 6 and 7: The base is equipped with suc-
tion cups, as well as, four holes to allow the base to be screwed into
a piece of wood or other base material. Once the base has been
attached, slide the pump unit onto the base for a solid platform.
Ensure that the water does not contain particulate matter that may
enter the pump and damage the impeller and motor.
Applications which have very fine grades of mud, sand, or gravel
require an impeller guard or nylon mesh placed over the water intake
to prevent the pump from clogging.
Connect power cord to electrical outlet. In order to start, the pump
must be filled with water. If the unit does not start immediately, tilt
output up slightly to eliminate any air bubbles in the system.
Ensure that the pump is submerged during operation.
The removable pump bases on Pumps 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 can be
secured to a fixed base. A brick or board will provide a firm platform.
CAUTION: LAGUNA UTILITY PUMP MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO
RUN DRY.
Rinse pump and impeller after every use.
MAINTENANCE
To avoid injury, do not touch moving or hot parts.
Always unplug all appliances from outlet when not in use, before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning

with epoxy, thereby requiring no lubrication or other maintenance.
Although the impeller cavity is self cleaning, regular maintenance is
required.
