MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the pump from the electrical power supply before starting any maintenance.
With the pump stopped, periodically check and clean the pre-filter basket. To remove the
basket, place the suction and discharge valves in the "closed" position. Release the pre-filter cover,
remove the basket and clean it under running water. To avoid deterioration, do not bang it. Gently
insert the basket until it returns to its initial position.
Place the lid gasket and grease it with Vaseline.
Do not put chemicals in the basket. Do not forget that valve position changes are
always carried out with the engine stopped.
Before starting the pump again, place the filter cover gasket properly and grease it with Vaseline.
Place the cap with its gasket, fill the prefilter and the pump body with water. Check that the pump
shaft rotates freely, using a screwdriver at the rear of the motor. Do not start if blocked.
If there is a risk of frost or when the pump must remain inactive for a long period of time, we must
proceed to empty the pump. To do this, we remove the drain plugs that are at the bottom of the pump
body and the prefilter, if your pump has a prefilter.
If the pump remains stopped for
long periods, or if there is a danger
of frost, the prefilter and the pump
body must be emptied through the
drain hole.
