Before first use
Fill the kettle with clean water to its maximum capacity and boil the water. Discard the water.
Use of the device
Be sure to unplug the kettle before filling. Fill it with water to the desired level, making sure never to
exceed the MAX mark inside the kettle. Be sure to put at least 0.5 liters of water to avoid any malfunction.
Once full, close the kettle and place it on its base. Activate it by pressing the on/off button.
When the water boils, the kettle will turn off automatically, but you can also turn it off manually by
pressing the on/off button.
Note: The appliance is equipped with an overheating safety. This function is activated when the kettle is
switched on with too little water. If overheating occurs, immediately turn off the kettle, unplug it, and then
let it cool for 5-10 minutes. Once cooled, you can refill it and restart it.
Cleaning and maintenance
Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down before cleaning.
For exterior surfaces, slightly wipe over with a soft damp cloth. For the inner surface of the kettle, use a
soft damp cloth or a soft brush to remove the residues.
Never use abrasive products or immerse the kettle or its base in water. Also, do not place this appliance
in the dishwasher.
The appliance has to be descaled regularly to ensure optimum performance. The frequency depends on
the water hardness and the boiling frequency.
If you begin to notice the increase of the noise during boiling, or if the kettle switches off before water
being boiled, this indicates that descaling is necessary.
Generally, the descaling should be done in the following periodicity:
With soft water, at least once every 6 months.
-
With hard water, at least once every 3 months.
-
You can use descaling agent (In this case read carefully the instructions supplied with the product) or
vinegar (0.5 liters of vinegar for 0.7 liters of water). Let this mixture sit in the kettle for about an hour, then
empty it and rinse the inside of the kettle several times before using it again.
Correct disposal of the unit (Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
(Applicable in the European Union and the rest of Europe that have adopted separate collection systems
countries). The European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires
that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal household waste stream. Old
appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they
contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The symbol of the crossed out dustbin
is marked on all products to remind the obligations of separate collection. Consumers should contact their
local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their product.
