The following table will help you locate and eliminate minor faults:

The power indicator does
not light up after switch-
ing on.
The automatic circuit
breaker in the electrical
distribution board trips.
Long heating-up time.
No steam.
Steam escapes constant-
ly from the tank cap.

Possible cause
Plug not inserted into
socket.
Automatic circuit breaker in
electrical distribution board
tripped.
Too many appliances con-
nected to the same power
circuit.
No fault detected.
The tank is scaled.
Appliance not switched on.
Appliance is not yet ready
for operation.
The accessories are not
correctly attached.
Not enough water in the
tank.
Steam switch locked.
Steam flow set too low.
Appliance is defective.
Remedy
Insert plug.
Switch on the automatic
circuit breaker again.
Reduce the number of appli-
ances on the power circuit.
Contact customer service.
Descale the tank.
Switch on the appliance.
Wait until the steam ready
indicator extinguishes.
Check the accessories.
Fill the tank, see section
Refilling the tank (page 33) .
Unlock the steam switch.
Increase the steam flow.
Contact customer service.
