Thoroughly wash hands after installing, handling, cleaning, or otherwise touching this product.
READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: To REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR INJURY
TO PERSONS OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
1. USE THIS UNIT ONLY IN THE MANNER INTENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER.
2. BEFORE SERVICING OR CLEANING THIS UNIT,
SWITCH POWER OFF AT SERVICE PANEL AND LOCK SERVICE PANEL TO
PREVENT POWER FROM BEING SWITCHED ON ACCIDENTALLY.
IF THE SERVICE PANEL
CANNOT BE LOCKED, FASTEN A PROMINENT WARNING
DEVICE TO THE SERVICE PANEL (SUCH AS A TAG).
3. INSTALLATION AND ALL ELECTRICAL WIRING MUST BE DONE BY QUALIFIED PERSON(S) IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL
APPLICABLE CODES AND STANDARDS,
INCLUDING FIRE-RATED CONSTRUCTION
CODES AND STANDARDS.
. DO NOT INSTALL WHERE THE AIR TEMPERATURE WILL EXCEED 40°C (104°F).
. DO NOT INSTALL IN A CEILING WITH INSULATION GREATER THAN R40.
. DO NOT USE THIS FAN WITH ANY SOLID-STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICE.
. WHEN CUTTING OR DRILLING INTO A WALL OR CEILING. DO NOT DAMAGE
ELECTRICAL WIRING OR OTHER HIDDEN
UTILITIES.
8. DUCTED FANS MUST ALWAYS BE VENTED TO OUTDOORS.
9. IF THIS UNIT IS TO BE INSTALLED OVER A TUB OR SHOWER, IT MUST BE MARKED AS APPROVED FOR THE APPLICATION
AND BE CONNECTED
TO A GFCI (GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER) PROTECTED BRANCH CIRCUIT.
10. NOT FOR USE IN KITCHENS.
11. NOT FOR USE WITH HEATING EQUIPMENT, FUEL BURNING EQUIPMENT OR IN CHIMNEYS.
12. THIS UNIT MUST BE GROUNDED.
13. FANS SHOULD ALWAYS BE VENTED TO THE EXTERIOR.
14. FOR GENERAL VENTILATING USE ONLY. DO NOT USE TO EXHAUST HAZARDOUS OR EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS AND
VAPORS.
TO ENSURE SAFE OPERATION:
1. KEEP DRYWALL SPRAY AND CONSTRUCTION
DIRT OFF MOTOR ASSEMBLY TO AVOID BEARING DAMAGE AND OR
UNBALANCED
IMPELLERS.
2. BE SURE UNIT IS CORRECTLY
INSTALLED AND WIRED BY A QUALIFIED INSTALLER INACCORDANCE WITH THE
INSTRUCTIONS AND APPLICABLE NEC OR EQUIVALENT CODES.
3. BE SURE OPERARING
INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOLLOWED AND THAT MOVING AND HEATING PARTS ARE KEPT CLEAN AND
FREE FROM OBSTRUCTIONS.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
1. Insert the Suspension Bracket (2) into Fan Body.
If Spacing between Joists 21-1/4" to 23-1/2", connect Suspension Bracket
Extension (2) using Screws provided (Fig. 2).
NOTE: For new construction, position Housing Flange (8) 7/8" below the bottom of the joist to account for sheetrock.
2. Secure the Suspension Brackets (2) to the Joists with long Screws provided. CAUTION: TURN OFF ELECTRICAL POWER AT
SERVICE ENTRANCE!!!
3. Wire with 120VAC-60Hz Supply Power Leads, Connect House Power Wires to Ventilating Fan Wires (3): black to black; white to
white; green to green. Replace the Junction Box Cover (4). See Fig. 3.
4. Install circular duct to Duct Adapter (5) and run to a roof jack or wall cap to ensure ventilation is ducted to the outside.
Secure with
proper clamps.
5. Finish ceiling work.
Ceiling hole should be aligned with the edge of the Housing Flange (8).
6. Insert the Spring (7) of the Grille (6) into slots of the Fan Body (1).
7. Turn on electricity at breaker box after finishing installation.
NOTE: For remodel construction, use the Housing Flange (8) as a template for ceiling cutout.
Drive screws through the holes
in the Housing Flange (8) to secure to bottom of existing joists.

Never use benzene, thinner, or any other such chemicals for cleaning the grill or any other part of the fan.
e
Do not allow water to enter the interior of the housing.
e
Do not immerse resin parts in water over 140°F.
Wash grill with water and allow to dry thoroughly before re-installing.
