GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which could result in serious personal
injury.
REMOVING THE ROLLER BARS FOR
CLEANING
See Figures 9 - 10, page 10.
The roller bars are located inside the floor head.
To remove the front roller bar:
Remove the battery pack.
Rotate the lever on the end cap of the roller bar approxi-
mately 1/4 in. turn to unlock the roller bar.
Using the lever, rotate the plush roller bar down and away
from the floor head.
To remove the back roller bar:
Remove the battery pack.
Rotate the lever on the end cap of the roller bar approxi-
mately 1/4 in. turn to unlock the roller bar.
Slide the bar through the opening and pull the bar from
the floor head assembly.
NOTE: Use the included vacuum maintenance tool to
remove any threads or hair wrapped around the roller bar.
To reattach:
Insert the roller bar into the floor head assembly.
Align the tabs on the cap to the notches on the assembly
and firmly press the cap into place.
NOTE: Make sure the opposite end of the roller bar is
aligned to the drive spindle when pressing the cap into
the assembly housing.
Rotate the end cap 1/4 in. turn to lock into place.
MAINTENANCE

CLEANING/REPLACING THE FILTER
See Figure 12, page 10.
The vacuum can be locked in the upright position for con-
venience when removing and cleaning the dust bowl.
NOTE: The self-standing feature is not recommended for
permanent storage. The wall mount should be used for
storage purposes.
Remove the battery pack and the dust bowl.
Turn dust bowl cap counterclockwise to unlock and
remove.
Lift filter assembly from the dust bowl.
Remove cloth filter by gently pulling up on mesh tab.
Rinse filter with warm water. Set aside and allow to dry
completely.
Empty the dust bowl; wash if necessary. Before reat-
taching to the stick vacuum, make sure all pieces are
completely dry.
NOTE: Allow 24 hours for parts to dry completely.
Clean dirt and debris by wiping the metal screen with a
dry cloth.
Reinsert the cloth filter in the top of the filter assembly.
Place the filter assembly into the dust bowl.
Align the arrow on the dust bowl with the Unlock icon on
the fliter cover, turn clockwise to lock.
Reattach dust bowl.
CLEANING/REPLACING THE POST MOTOR
FILTER
See Figure 12, page 10.
To remove:
Remove the battery pack and the dust bowl.
Press the tabs on each side of the post motor filter located
on the underside of the vacuum console.
Remove filter.
Clean with a dry brush or replace if necessary.
To install:
Align the tabs with the slots on the underside of the
vacuum console, press upward until the tabs lock in place.
