FILLING WITH WATER
The steam ironing station may be used with tap
water, but if you live in an area with hard water,
you should use distilled or demineralized water.
Do not use chemically descaled water or other
liquids to fill the tank and do not add anything to
the water as this may damage the steam ironing
station.
• Make sure that the appliance is disconnected
from the mains and has cooled down.
• Remove the water tank and poor water into
the water filling hole - Do not overfill.
• Now put the filled tank back in place. Make
sure it is properly snaped in.
SWITCH ON
• Place the iron on the base unit and connect the
power cord to the mains.
• Press the power button to switch on the steam
ironing station.
• Set the temperature control to the correct
temperature for the fabric.
• During heating, the temperature indicator of
the iron is on and the steam rate indicator is
flashing.
• When the steam function is ready for use, the
steam rate indicator lights up constantly.
• When the iron reaches the set temperature,
the temperature indicator of the iron goes off.
It will then cycle on and off as the thermostat
operates to maintain the temperature.

plate!

DESCALE (Fig. B)
If the descaling indicator lights up, the steam
generator must be cleaned as mineral deposits
have accumulated. When the system ensures that
the mineral deposits have been removed, the
indicator goes out.
Note: The descaling function can only be
performed when the descaling indicator is
constantly lit.
To remove the mineral deposits, follow the steps
below:
1. Caution: Make sure that the appliance is
disconnected from the mains and has cooled
down completely before proceeding to avoid
the risk of scalding.
2. Remove the water tank from the base unit.
3. Turn the base unit upside down and place it on
a level surface to gain access to the sealing cap
of the steam generator on the bottom of the
unit.
4. Cover the sealing cap with a towel and turn it
counterclockwise to open it.
5. Take the silicone drain hose that is attached at
the bottom of the base and connect it to the
drain port.
6. Place the base unit on a table and put the
silicon hose into a container.
7. Fill the water tank with clean water and insert
it.
8. Connect the power cord to the mains and
switch on the appliance.
9. Press and hold the descale button and the
steam trigger at the same time for 2 seconds
until you hear a beep and the descaling
indicator starts flashing.
10. Now the appliance starts to flush the steam
generator. Water, steam and scale flows out of
the steam generator. About 3 minutes later,
the descaling indicator stops flashing and the
appliance switches off automatically.
11. After that, disconnect the appliance from the
power outlet, remove the water tank and the
drain hose and tighten the sealing cap on the
bottom again.
