d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of
children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these instructions to
operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in
the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check
for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition
that may affect the power tool's operation. If
damaged, have the power tool repaired before
use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less
likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool
bits etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions and
the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for
operations different from those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry,
clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery
handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe
handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.
Additional Safety and Working
Instructions
Never reach into the danger area of the machine when it
is running.
Chips and splinters must not be removed while the machine
is running.
Immediately switch off the machine in case of considerable
vibrations or if other malfunctions occur. Check the machine
in order to find out the cause.
The workpiece must be fixed if it is not heavy enough to
be steady. Never move the workpiece towards the rotating
insertion tool by hand.
Residual Risk
Even when the product is used as prescribed, it is still
impossible to completely eliminate certain residual risk fac-
tors. The following hazards may arise in use and the opera-
tor should pay special attention to avoid the following:
• Injury caused by vibration. Hold the product by desig-
nated handles and restrict working time and exposure.

• Exposure to noise can cause hearing injury. Wear ear
protection and limit exposure.
• Injury due to flying debris Wear eye protection, heavy
long trousers, gloves and substancial footwear at all
times.
• Inhalation of toxic dusts.
Intended use
This eccentric sander is a versatile machine. The following
work can be carried out with it: Coarse sanding and
grinding, Fine sanding and polishing, Rubbing down
weather-beaten paint, Rubbing down weather-beaten paint,
Polishing up scratches on acrylic glass, Etc.
The user alone is responsible for damage resul-
ting from improper use.
Mains Connection
Connect only to single-phase AC system voltage as indi-
cated on the rating plate. It is also possible to connect to
sockets without an earthing contact as the design conforms
to safety class II.
Appliances used at many different locations including
wet room and open air must be connected via a residual
current device (FI, RCD, PRCD) of 30mA or less.
Only plug-in when machine is switched off.
Do not let any metal parts enter the airing slots - danger of
short circuit!
Inrush currents cause short-time voltage drops. Under unfa-
vourable power supply conditions, other equipment may
be affected. If the system impedance of the power supply is
lower than 0,2 Ohm, disturbances are unlikely to occur.
Working instructions
CAUTION: After a power failure, the switched-on unit starts
up again.
Cleaning
Blow out the machine with compressed air through the rear
ventilation slots regularly, frequently and thoroughly. Hold
the machine firmly while blowing out.
Maintenance
Repairs to the device may only be carried out
by appointed and trained personnel. For such
purposes, always use original spare parts from Adolf
Würth GmbH & Co. KG. This will ensure the continuing
safe operation of the device.
