OPERATION - General information
The below description goes with image 1 on page 2.

BEFORE FIRST USE - Cleaning
1. Remove all packaging material.
2. Clean the appliance before using the appliance for the first time (see 'Cleaning and maintenance').
ATTENTION:
•
The appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first
time. This is normal and will stop on its own. Make sure the appliance has sufficient ventilation.
•
Keep house birds away from the appliance when it is in use. Fumes released from the non-stick
coating are harmful to birds.
BEFORE FIRST USE - Assembling
The description below corresponds to image 2 on page 2.
Install the glass lid (3) and knob (4) as shown in the image.
OPERATION - Preheating
1.
Put the appliance on a level and heat-resistant surface.
2.
Insert the thermostat fully into the socket (see image 3 on page 2).
ATTENTION:
Only the supplied cable with thermostat may be used.

Put the plug in the wall socket.
4.
Adjust the thermostat dial to the required temperature (see image 4 one page 2) :
Position Temperature (°C)
1 approx. 115°C
2 approx. 155°C
3 approx. 175°C
4 approx. 185°C
5 approx. 220°C
ATTENTION:
•
The indicator light on the thermostat will illuminate to show that the heating element has been
switched on.

After a few minutes the indicator light will go out. Once the indicator light has extinguished the
appliance has reached the required temperature, and is ready for use.
ATTENTION:
•
During use the heating element will switch on and off to keep the temperature of the pan constant.
Consequently the indicator light will also occasionally be illuminated.
