To operate correctly, this appliance must be placed on a
horizontal surface. Place it on a flat and rigid surface.
Do not use it on heat-sensitive surfaces. Choose an easy-
to-clean surface on which to place the appliance, at least
20 cm away from any wall to reduce the radiation from the
appliance.
6/ PRIOR TO USE: INSTALLATION AND
CONNECTION
Connect the appliance to the nearest suitable power outlet
(see section 4 "For your safety").
Please note that when you plug in the appliance, it switches
on automatically.
7/ OPERATION
Caution: do not touch the heating zone while the appliance

is in operation: burn hazard.
The "OFF" position is indicated by "O".
The "MAX" position corresponds to the highest cooking
temperature.
First use: clean the plancha plate with soapy water and
rinse. Then operate your plancha empty (without food on
the grates) for 15 minutes. A slight odour may then be
released for a few moments.
Preheating: we recommend that you preheat the plancha
for about 15 minutes to optimise cooking quality.
Cooking: You can dab the griddle with oil using a brush to
reduce the likelihood of food sticking to it. Turn the control
knob to select the desired temperature of the griddle.
The blue indicator light next to the control knob indicates
that your Plancha is heating up. When it switches off,
it indicates that the set temperature has been reached.
