This tower light is intended for illumination in dry indoor
areas.

SAFETY
GENERAL
Handle the tower light with care
Do not direct the light beam at persons or animals
and do not stare into the light beam yourself (not
even from a distance)
Do not cover off the lamp head while operating
the tower light (the lamp head heats up during
operation and can cause burns when the heat
accumulates)
BATTERIES
The battery supplied, if any, is partially charged (to
ensure full capacity of the battery, completely charge the
battery in the battery charger before using your power
tool for the first time)
Only use the following batteries and chargers with
this tool
- SKIL battery: BR1*21****, BR1*27****, BR1*31****
- SKIL charger: CR1*21****, CR1*27****, CR1*31****
Do not use battery when damaged; it should be replaced
immediately
Do not disassemble the battery
Do not expose tool/battery to rain
Permitted ambient temperature (tool/charger/battery):
- when charging 4...40°C
- during operation –20...+25°C
- during storage –20...+50°C

USE
Charging battery
! read the safety warnings and instructions
provided with the charger

Battery level indicator q
- press the battery level indicator button M to show the
current battery level qa
! when the lowest level of the battery indicator
starts flashing after pressing button M qb, the
battery is empty
! when 2 levels of the battery indicator start flashing
after pressing button M qc, the battery is not
within the allowable operating temperature range
(only applicable to 20V battery pack)
Battery protection
The tool is suddenly being switched off or prevented from
being switched on, when the battery is nearly empty (to
protect against deep discharge) --> a low battery level
or flashing low battery level qb is shown by the battery
level indicator when pressing button M; charge battery
! do not continue to press the on/off switch after the
tool is switched off automatically; battery may be
damaged
Operating the tool w
- press the On/Off button F to turn on the light in the high
brightness stage
- press the On/Off button F to change to the medium
brightness stage
- press the On/Off button F the third time to change to
the low brightness stage
- press the On/Off button F the fourth time to turn the
light off
- In any brightness stage, press and hold the On/Off
button F for 3 seconds to directly shut down the light
! the light will flash slowly and then turn off when
the battery pack charge is too low
Adjusting the light head e
- the light head A can be pivoted vertically 0°- 270°or
swiveled horizontally -90°-180° for maximum flexibility
- manually move the light head A to any position within
its range
! do not force the light head A beyond that range
Adjusting the telescoping tube r
- the telescoping tube D can be extended for use or
collapsed and folded for storage
- to extend the telescoping tube D, press the lock button
G and rotate the tube up to 90° until it locks in place,
pull the tube up to a desired height, the length of the
fully extended tube is 113.2 cm; to lower the height,
push the tube downward
- to fold the telescoping tube D, collapse the tube down
to its shortest length, fold down the light head A, press
the lock button G and rotate the tube downward until it
locks in place

- the auxiliary support K can be swiveled 360° and
locked at 0° or 90° with a sound "click", 0
