When is the food ready? Cooking or heating normally causes variations in the
colour or compactness of the food, as well as other manifestations that are
usually relatively obvious:
-
A light vapour is emitted from the entire food product, not just the top.
-
Pieces of food, which are drier, are easier to stir and remove.
-
Fresh meat, beef or pork shows no sign of bleeding.
-
Fish assumes a matt appearance and can be easily broken apart with a
fork.
Special dishes: When special microwave containers are used (plates,
perforated containers, etc.), a ceramic plate should be placed between the
accessory and the turntable to protect the latter and mobile parts against
possible overheating.
Food wrap: Avoid any contact between the clear food wrap and the food,
especially food with a high fat content, since the heat transmitted may cause
the food wrap to melt.
Plastic microwave-safe containers: Even microwave-safe containers, if used
incorrectly, can be deformed and melt in the presence of particularly greasy
or fatty food. Exercise caution during use.
6. CLEANING, CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The appliance does not require maintenance, understood as the need to replace
consumables or parts subject to wear. Regular and thorough cleaning is normally
enough to ensure its optimal performance.
Before cleaning, check that the power plug has been removed from the socket. Do not,
under any circumstances, clean the appliance when powered; before reconnecting the
appliance to the mains, check that all the treated surfaces have fully dried.
Use a damp cloth to clean the internal surfaces more or less immediately after
preparation, having checked that the parts have cooled to levels no longer considered
dangerous. Avoid splashes of grease or other traces of dirt from completely drying out.
This makes them more difficult to remove and leads to the development of unpleasant
odours. Before each use, the internal surfaces of the appliance must be completely
free of build-up to prevent subsequent radiation from making it even more difficult to
remove. In any case, do not rub the parts with aggressive cleansers or abrasive
sponges, metal scourers and the like. Damage to the surface layer may cause inedible
substances to fall onto the food during cooking. Specific oven-cleaning products are
not suitable for microwave appliances and, therefore, must not be sprayed, especially
