Please read these operating instructions carefully before
using the appliance for the first time.
Your new appliance
The continuous-flow heater heats the water as it flows
through the appliance. The appliance only consumes power
during this period.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabil-
ities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
s
The installation and initial startup of the appliance must be
carried out by an authorized technician and in accordance
with the supplied installation instructions.
s
The continuous-flow heater must be installed in a
frost-free room.
s
The tap mixer and hot-water pipe may become hot.
Keep children at a safe distance.
How to operate the continuous-flow heater:
The continuous-flow heater has two heat settings:
Economy setting – two thirds power
Intensive setting – full power
The
setting is ideal for:
Wash basin
Shower
Bidet
The
setting is used in combination with a thermostat
battery, for high temperatures or for large volumes of water,
e.g. for:
Dishwashing
Cleaning
Bath tub
Turn on the hot-water tap
The continuous-flow heater switches on and heats the water
when the hot-water tap is turned on.
It switches off again when the tap is turned off.

Increasing the water temperature:
Slightly close the hot-water tap
Decreasing the water temperature:
Turn on the cold-water tap

When the water tap is turned on only slightly, the continuous-
flow heater will operate at half power in both of the
preselected settings (
on fully, the appliance will operate at full, preselected power.
Startup after a water cutoff
s
Disconnect the appliance from the mains voltage
(remove the fuses in the interior electrical system).
s
Turn on the hot-water tap until the air is purged from the
pipe.
s
Reinstall the fuses.
s
The appliance is ready for operation.
Saving energy
For wash basins: Open the corner regulating valve to such an
extent that only the lower heat setting switches on.
Use the
setting whenever possible.
Cleaning
Simply wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use
intensive or abrasive cleaning agents.
Caution!
Repairs must only be carried out by an authorized
technician. Improper repairs can lead to risk of serious
injury to the user.
It is normally not necessary to descale the appliance.
However, extremely hard water and the frequent tapping of
very hot water can cause the appliance to scale up. In this
case please contact our after-sales service.
