Westward Operating Instructions and Parts Manual
STEP 2：
1.
Center the spreader on either the front or
rear luggage rack on your ATV.
2.
Use the "J-Bolts" and connect the rear cross
bars to the luggage rack cross bar closet to
the seat or handlebars.
STEP 3：
1.
The motor switch needs to be in the OFF
position before connecting to the battery.
2.
Connect the wire assembly to the motor
wires. Make sure the red and black wires
match when connecting the two together.
3.
Connect the red wire (positive) to the
positive post (+) on the battery.
4.
Attach the black wire (ground) to the
negative post (-) on the battery.
Keep hands away from any spinning objects, shut off plate, shut off mechanism linkage and the inside of
the hopper.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in extreme injury to the operator or
bystanders.

Use the two "Double J-Bolts" attach the
spreader to the luggage rack and secure it to
the outer rails on the luggage rack.
4.
Tighten all fasteners and cut any excessive
bolt lengths that extend beyond the nuts and
smooth if necessary.
5.
Turn the motor switch to the ON position and
test to make sure the impeller rotates
clockwise.

6.
Put the ON/OFF switch in an easy to use
location on the ATV.
7.
Before loading material into the hopper the
control lever and motor switch need to be in
the OFF position.
