IMPORTANT USAGE GUIDELINES
• Requires 3 new AA alkaline batteries (not included).
• Phillips screwdriver required for battery installation.
• Temperature range for use is between 0°-40°C
• Not intended for children under 24 months.
• Please retain this user manual for future reference as it contains important information.
CARE
• Keep water, sand and dirt off of TIMIO.
• Keep TIMIO away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
• To clean, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use detergents or chemicals.
• Do not drop TIMIO on a hard surface.
• Under no circumstances should TIMIO be broken apart as this invalidates the warranty. If you are

BATTERY INSTALLATION
• Locate the battery compartment door on the back of the player.
• Ensure the power switch is to the OFF position.
• Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery
compartment door.
• Insert 3 AA alkaline batteries following the polarity (+/-) specified in the battery compartment. See
FIG. 1
Warning: DO NOT REMOVE THE SD CARD from the battery compartment. TIMIO will not work
without the SD CARD.
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw. Do not over-tighten.
• Low battery warning: the battery icon (next to the question mark)

• When sounds become faint again or stop during use, replace the batteries.
• Protect the environment by not disposing of this product with household waste (2002/96/EC). Check
your local authority for recycling advice and facilities (Europe only).
SD CARD
DO NOT REMOVE or tamper with the SD CARD located in the battery compartment as it will impact the
functioning of TIMIO. See FIG. 2
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin
TIMIO. To avoid battery leakage:
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
• Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from TIMIO.
Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of this product in a fire. The batteries inside may explode or
leak.
• Never short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision.
