Operation
The Snap-on Inverter can be used to operate personal
electronics and mobile office equipment because its USB
port output is 5.0VDC/1.0A. It can also be used to
recharge 110/120 volt AC devices that have an
appropriate recharging adaptor with a standard North
American two or three-prong plug.
— Be sure that the power consumption of the
item to be rated is at 110/120 VAC or its
current is below 1.6A before it is plugged into
the three-prong outlet.
— Be sure that the USB-powered device rates at
5.0VDC/1.0A before it is plugged into USB
port.
— For safety reasons, the inverter will shut
down if it is overloaded.
Figure 2:
Please read this instruction manual carefully before use
to ensure optimum performance and to avoid damage to
this product.
• Install the battery pack into the inverter. Press
lightly on battery pack until it stops and the latches
are secure.
— Only Snap-on CTB7185/CTB8185 battery can
be installed.
— The LED light will not be ON if battery is
installed incorrectly.
• Adjust the inverter head from 0° to 90° to accommodate
work angle.
• Press the switch "I" position, the blue LED light will be ON
and the buzzer ring about 0.5s, this indicates the inverter
is ready to work.
— If the red LED light is ON when battery is
installed correctly, the battery is too hot , too
cold, faultly, or the battery voltage is below
16.75 VDC.
— The blue LED light will be ON when battery
temperature is between 32°-104° F(0°-40 °C).

— If the red LED fl ash about 10s and the blue
LED is not ON, the inverter may have a fault.
— Have damaged parts properly repaired or
replaced by an Authorized Service Center.
Operation - 120VAC outlet
1. Insert the (110/120VAC) appliance into the inverter's
three-prong outlet and operate normally.
— The appliance will work if rating voltage is
110/120 VAC, power is below 175W and its
current is below 1.6A.
— If overload, the buzzer will ring for warning
and the inverter will not work.
2. Unplug the appliance from the outlet after task is
complete, and press the switch to "0" position.
— Be sure the switch is at "0" status when not in
use.
Operation - USB port
1. Unplug the USB port cover. Plug the USB-powered
device into the inverter's USB port. Now the inverter
output 5.0 VDC/1.0A to the USB-powered device.
— This USB port does not support data
communication.
— Before you plug the USB-powered device,
check its required voltage and current is
5.0 VDC / 1.0A .
2. Unplug the USB-powered device from the inverter's
USB port after charging is complete. Press the switch
to "0" position.
— Be sure the switch is at "0" status when not in
use.
3. Press battery pack latches, and remove the battery
pack from the inverter.
— Remove the battery pack when not for use.
4. Please note USB may not display charging symbol on
device due to lack of communication with some
devices.
