Important safety instructions
Carefully read the instructions for use before using the appliance.
1. Read all instructions before use.
2. Remove all packing material and carefully check your ice maker to ensure it is
in good condition and that there is no damage to the ice maker itself or its
power cord/plug.
3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent, or by a similarly qualified person, in order to avoid a hazard.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been given instructions on
using the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
5. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, provided they are supervised or have been given instructions
regarding safe use of the appliance, and on condition that they understand the
hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance, and cleaning
and user maintenance should not be carried out by children without
supervision.
6. This appliance is intended for use in households and in similar applications
such as
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
– in farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments;
– Warning: Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a
flammable propellant in this appliance.
– Warning: Keep ventilation openings, in the enclosure of the appliance or in
the built-in structure, clear of any obstruction.
– Warning: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the
defrosting process other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
– Warning: Do not allow damage to the refrigerant circuit.
– Warning: Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage
compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by
the manufacturer.
– WARNING: When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not
trapped or damaged.
– WARNING: Do not use multiple portable socket-outlets or portable power
supplies at the rear of the appliance.
