• First identify if the gas from the source is heavier or
lighter than air. Gases heavier than air: LPG, etc. Gases
lighter than air: natural gas, methane gas, etc.
• Depending on the weight of the gas, choose the correct
location of the gas detector.
• If the gas is heavier than the air, position the gas
detector at a height of 0.3 - 1.0 m from the floor, within
a radius of max. 1.5 m from the gas source. If the gas is
lighter than the air, position the gas detector at a height
of 0.3 - 1.0 m from the ceiling, within a radius of max.
1.5 m from the gas source.
