WARING: IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Always read and adhere to the safety guidelines provided in this handbook. Misuse of this product
could lead to serious injury.
Only use USAB Splitter on even ground if left unmounted; never place on another surface/base
unless securely bolted.
If bolting to a base, ensure the surface is level and solid, and all sides are securely bolted.
Ensure you are using appropriate bolts/screws depending on the base.
Only bolt the USAB to a heavy base to prevent it from tipping over while in use; we recommend
bolting to a stump or tree round.
Wear protective safety goggles and gloves when using the USAB.
The USAB is for adult use only and is unsafe for children.
The Log & Kindling Splitter is designed to easily split wood; excessive force is not necessary and
may cause injury or damage to splitter.
Only the operator should be near the log splitter. All other people must be at least 3 meters away
from the splitter during operation to prevent injury from splintering debris.
Stay an arms length away from the spvlitter when in use; do not look directly over the blade.
Make sure your chosen platform does not move during operation.
Do not split firewood pieces any smaller than 1" in diameter.
When splitting logs and kindling ensure the wood is longer than the height of the blade (7").
When not in use always replace the safety cover. Failure to do so could result in accident or injury.
USING THE FOREST MASTER® Log & Kindling Splitter
1. Place the FOREST MASTER® Log & Kindling Splitter on flat ground or bolt to a raised surface.
We recommend bolting the USAB to a stump or tree round for the best and easiest use.
2. With gloves and protective goggles on, position a piece of firewood vertically into the blade of the
USAB.
3. Using a mallet, begin lightly tapping on the firewood until it sets on the blade and can stand on its
own.
4. Remove your hand from the firewood and using the mallet, hit the log with sufficient force until it splits
in two. Multiple strikes may be necessary.
5. Continue splitting the halves using the above method until you're left with kindling of your desired
thickness.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
• FOREST MASTER® Log & Kindling Splitter is made of 100% durable ductile cast iron with an all-weather
coating and can be stored outside year-round.
Use and wear may cause the all-weather coating to fade; if rust starts to appear, begin storing the
FOREST MASTER® Log & Kindling Splitter in a covered area if this is a concern to you (rust will not
impact the effectiveness of the tool).
Avoid hitting the FOREST MASTER® Log & Kindling Splitter blade with your hammer, which may damage
it and remove the all-weather coating.
