- The non-stick coated grill surfaces enable dishes to be prepared without
the use of fat.
- If you want to use oil ensure that it is highly heatable, such as sunflower
oil.
Do not use olive oil or butter, since they start smoking already at low
temperatures.
Switching ON/OFF
- Always set the temperature control (4) to the MIN position before
connecting or disconnection the mains plug.
-The red pwer indicatior lamp (3) indicates the operating mode.
Electrical connection
Power rating
The appliance can consume 2000W of power in total. At this power rating,
we recommend a separate connection with fuse protection via a 16A
domestic circuit breaker.
CAUTION: Overload
Do not use any extension cords or multiple sockets as this appliance is
too powerful.
Connection
- Before you plug the power plug into the power outlet, ensure that the
mains voltage corresponds with that of the appliance. You can find
information about this on the rating plate.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.
Before initial use
1. Clean the grill plates as described under "Cleaning".
2. Close the contact grill. Install the grease dripping tray (5) at the front of
the device.
3. Operate the appliance with the closed grill plates for about 10 minutes
without any food (see "Operaton"). To do so, turn the temperature
regulator to the MAX position.
NOTE:
This process normally produces a small amount of smoke. Ensure
adequate ventilation.
4. Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
5. Let the appliance cool down completely.
