Cleaning and maintenance
Caution! Danger of electric shock! Appliance, cord and plug
should never come into contact with water or any other liquids.
Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water.
• Before cleaning, always pull out the plug and let the appliance cool
down completely.
• Clean the cover and egg tray with warm water.
• Wipe the housing and heating plate with a damp cloth; add detergent
if required. Wipe dry. To avoid damaging sensitive surfaces, never
use metallic or sharp-edged cleaning materials or harsh cleaning
solvents.
Remove Calcium Salt Deposits
Calcium from eggshells may, after a while, build up on the heating
plate. To remove these deposits pour some vinegar into the
measuring cup. Fill up with water. Pour the mixture onto the heating
plate. Attention! Do not heat up and boil the mixture in the
appliance! Just leave it for about 30 minutes then discard the diluted
vinegar and wipe the heating plate dry.
• Never store the appliance near a heating element as the housing
could melt.
• Store the appliance in a dry place out of the reach of children.
